The Red Cabin, an experimental timber structure located in a metasequoia forest in Wuhan, China.

Part of the “Merryda Wiki World – Secret Camp”, the project explores small-scale living in a natural environment. Every tree on site was preserved, with the cabin positioned around the existing landscape and no artificial landscaping added.

Completed in 2025, the 55-square-metre cabin is defined by its angular geometry, inspired by a migratory bird inhabiting the forest.

Inspired • Emma Cogné

Brussels-based textile designer Emma Cogné turns everyday industrial materials into woven blinds, screens and curtains.

Her Turborama series is made using corrugated electrical tubing, reworked into these really graphic, colourful pieces.

Such a great mix of utility, texture and colour.
