Decked
Beyond the type

This book was completely handmade from start to finish during a three-week project in Italy. The paper pages and cover were crafted in Fabriano, the text was typeset and printed in Cornuda, and the images were printed and the book sewn in Venice. Being involved in every stage of the process was an incredible experience, and it remains the best group project I’ve ever had the chance to be part of. by @delaney.art11

SONNO
Jewelry gift box

For this project, I explored how to turn an intangible idea into something physical. I focused on the feeling of falling into a deep, dreamy sleep, something calm, immersive, and slightly surreal. The name SONNO, which means “sleep” in Italian, reflects that central idea.
I created a package design that visually represents this experience while also thinking about who it’s for and where it would be sold. The target audience is people aged 18–30 and I imagine it being sold in a boutique or gift shop setting. It’s designed as a mid-tier jewelry product that would be given as a meaningful gift for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays, rather than something used every day.
The outside of the package features a swirly blue pattern with a detailed dragonfly on the lid, including 3d wings to give it a more dreamlike, almost unreal quality. On the inside, the design shifts to a black and purple inverted version of the dragonfly, representing the feeling of drifting, fading, and falling deeper into sleep. by @delaney.art11
