beary first birthday for dacre bear 🐻

I’m a puddle. how are we here!! we had the best time celebrating our baby boy!! two special things I have to mention because they meant to much to me - @baileyireneandersen gifted him a vintage rocking horse that is literally perfection - it fits his room theme so well + we will treasure it forever. she saw it last weekend + knows me so well, she didn’t even have to ask - it’s a wendt heirloom now as far as I’m concerned!! @calliej_22 got him his first basketball hoop + he’s been obsessed!! basketball was a big part of garret’s life + it’s how she + garret met in washington. it’s the only reason she + I really even came into each other’s lives, so it looks like it’s just a little plastic hoop but for me it’s deeper than that. I’m never going to be able to part w either of these!!

I really leaned into the bears + made his birthday plate in the nick of time, + the one banner. planning parties is so fun for me, + creating for my kids is something I do not take for granted!

this boy is beyond special to me + I feel so lucky to be able to celebrate him w friends + family that shower their love for him as well. I’m so thankful for the ppl in our lives that showed up + show their love, no matter how big or small. it’s been a bittersweet week for sure, birthday as parents are actually so hard for me. I love you dacre bear!! (still a novel! I tried.. I am who I am)

it’s no surprise my love for @ivycityco runs deep - I bought my first dress for our engagements in 2019 + have gathered quite the collection since. needless to say, I’m THRILLED to be a part of ivy’s new ambassador program!! to me, their company is more than just dresses - I’ve collected some of my favorite life memories in their pieces. they hold a special place in my heart + my posterity is going to have some gorgeous heirlooms bahaha. what can I say, I’m a dress girl through + through!!

am I a runner now??

11 weeks ago, annie proposed running a half marathon together - I was not on board bc I knew the hours I’d be sacrificing to get miles in lol but fomo got me and I said what the heck. these photos mean more to me than the coordinating outfits + race day sparkles (even tho those definitely added to the experience 🤪) - they represent a goal of mine that took so much time + effort, that I got to achieve w two of my favorite humans ever. I struggled those last two miles + these two encouraged me to no end. seeing my brother tayson near the finish line was the biggest surprise + mental “I can do this!” hugging my family after hearing my name as I crossed the finish line was everything. I have tears in my eyes just typing this. feels silly bc it was “just a run” but that medal represents so much more for me!!! our bodies are amazing + I’m so grateful I got to do a hard thing w my best friends. thanks for coming to my ted talk 🤓

first 10k race in the books!! the aaron butler memorial foundation held a race at eagle island state park that was memorable + moving - tears brimmed our eyes as the race started + I felt so inspired + undeserving as posters of men + women from idaho who were killed in action lined the trail border. I have a new appreciation for veterans + the sacrifices they made for our country 🇺🇸
then we got to celebrate the beautiful new couple!! kenzie + eli are the cutest. I love weddings. their reception was unreal, her dress + veil were unreal, every detail she thought of!! the cakes! the ribbons! the COLOR! I can’t stop thinking about it. obsessed w it all!! by @delaneyyjo

I’m posting this on my feed in hopes it’ll help me move forward.. almost to make me feel like YES that actually did happen. some of this was on my stories earlier, but those disappear, and I guess I’m feeling like maybe having this somewhere permanent will help me? I’m still struggling w the aftermath of being at the shooting at the twin falls in n out.. and I’m hopeful that writing things out will help me process everything that happened and what I’ve since been feeling. the parallels between callie and I training for a half marathon together, running seven miles saturday morning, and then running that afternoon together to get away.. woof. I hadn’t even swallowed my food before taking off, didn’t think to drop my burger before running. oversharing perhaps? but getting it out is the best way I know how to cope in this moment in time ❤️‍🩹 by @delaneyyjo

dixie lou is THREE!! 🎈

my favorite little blondie girl. she’s my leotard living, lip gloss obsessed girly girl who wants sparkle + pink everything. she’s always asking for me to paint her nails, + dances to the best of her own drum (last slide lol). throwing her a fancy nancy birthday party + glamping near red fish for the weekend w some of our besties was such a fun way to celebrate our fiesty, opinionated, sour patch girlfriend. two fifty!!! ⭐️

I lovvved the fourth of july growing up, so it’s such a treat to celebrate with my own little family now!! the parade, festive outfits/hair/nails, pool day with cousins, contact naps, yummy food, my first holiday run + watching a couple fireworks from our front porch (next year will finally be our year to actually watch them lol, kids) are always highlights. happy birthday, america!! 🇺🇸 by @delaneyyjo

deciding to make a puff quilt with zero solo sewing experience may have been a little delusional (if you point out a few sloppy seams.. we aren’t friends) but I DID IT!!! think slightly weighted blanket + a giant hug in one. the coziest thing I own. if you also have a saved folder of crafts you want to try someday.. this is your sign to pick one + get your supplies + just do it! I was nottt qualified to take this on + YET 🤩 by @delaneyyjo
