hey pickles 🌵 did you know weekends weren’t always easy for me?

they actually used to be scary times. when i knew my counsellor, who i was seeing almost every day, wouldn’t be available. when i knew i’d burden my friend more. when i knew showering and eating would likely not happen. and honestly, it’s when i felt most alone.

but now my weekends look so different. it may have taken many years and a lot of hard work to get here, but right now, with my life as it is…

💕 i love my weekends
💕 i’m safe + i’m loved
💕 my weekends are full of possibilities

so, little pickle, if you’re going through hard times where your weekends are tough, dark + scary…

🌸 pls don’t give up
🌸 pls keep going
🌸 pls talk to someone
🌸 pls know you’re not a burden, and there are people out there who genuinely want to support you, help you heal + see you happy

ps. i was so incredibly lucky to have @julcza.q during those times, university years were not easy but she truly did look after me. the best thing to come out of it all was you 🌿🌺

the anxiety i get when i can tell someone doesn’t like me, or i’m just not their cup of tea, i instantly feel like i need to overcompensate, like i’ve done something wrong.

when i have an opinion someone disagrees with, i instantly feel like my opinion is the wrong one.

is anyone else in this boat? 🥺

i don’t know why it bothers me so much. i don’t know why i care so much. because really… why does it matter if someone doesn’t like me? why does it matter if we disagree?

✨ you don’t have to agree with everyone

i’m currently lay on the sofa with my heated blanket feeling insanely rough and grim 🫠 i’ve officially caught my first cold/flu of the season and it’s hit me like a ton of bricks!

happy sunday pickles 🌵💜

sometimes it’s so easy to think we aren’t making progress, but even the smallest of steps will take you places 🌺 i’m always so critical of myself and my goals but if i look back at where i was mentally, physically, emotionally and everything else five years ago, my achievements are actually insane ✨ at times it felt like i wasn’t getting anywhere, at times i felt like giving up, at times i’ve felt hopeless and helpless but today i choose to recognise the power of baby steps 🦋

i have every hope and faith in you and your baby steps my little pickles 🌸 you are getting further than you realise!

hey pickles 🌵 how many times do you look at your grid and want to change your lil page visuals because they don’t “fit in” with everyone else’s? how many times do you compare your grid to other people’s and think “i wish mine looked like that?”

i genuinely do this sooooo much (it’s just embarrassing now 😅). i try to change the visuals, the vibes, the voice and its all to sound and look a little more like other people so i “fit in”.

but it occurred to me today that it’s actually not a bad thing that our voices, our graphics, our messages and our work are different to everyone else’s…

because THAT’S THE POINT!! 💕

there is space here for your voice, your art, your messages, your visuals. there is space for the things that make you you.

and how bloody beautiful is it that we can all be a part of this lil community, creating completely different things and sharing what makes us US 🌈🌵💕

so here’s your reminder (and very much mine too 😅) you don’t need to change what you’re doing to fit in. there’s space for all of us here 🫶

my 10 days of paradise are ending and i really wish they weren’t 🥺

but i genuinely cannot tell you how good it has felt to really have some time to nourish my soul with things that make my heart smile and spend time with people who make me feel safe + happy 💕🦋
