Fall time in Michigan and the mushrooms are everywhere! The weather and all the rain has really made them pop! I’m not an expert, but I do know a lot and I belong to some mushroom ID groups so if you’d like to send me any pictures post them in the comments! #mushrooms #forager #freefood #michigan #fall by @delish_tips

It’s fall mushroom season! There are many different kinds of mushrooms growing right now one of my favorites is the Maitake aka as Hen of the Woods. I posted a video a day or so ago finding them I soak my mushrooms and salt water clean them chop them and sauté them in butter and olive oil and then I put them in zip top bags and freeze them for the winter so I can have lots of nutritious recipes. Finding mushrooms in the wild is so much better for your body then cultured mushrooms. Plus they’re free!! if you have any oak trees near your house, look at the base of the tree and that is where he will find the end of the woods. Good luck! #mushrooms #forager #wildfood #cooking #michigan by @delish_tips

Foraged around on Sunday and found a Puffball mushroom! I also got a great deal on some Lions Mane @cardoon.mi so I sautéed them in butter and olive oil for 7-10 minutes and freeze them for recipes this fall and winter! #mushroom #forage #cooking #follow4follow #wildfood by @delish_tips

Cheesy Sausage Stuffed Poblanos! Yum!! INGREDIENTS: 6-8 poblano peppers, 1 pound of Italian sausage, 4 ounces of cheese, 1 pound of bacon 4 ounces of cream cheese. BBQ sauce is optional. RECIPE: cook, drain and cool sausage, add room temp cream cheese and the shredded cheese of your choice. Slice poblanos in half longways thru the stem. Pull out seeds carefully as you want a little boat. Stuff with the meat mixture then wrap bacon around securing with toothpicks. Bake @ 375 for 50-60 minutes. I cooked the peppers for about 40 minutes in a pan and then I ended up moving them to a rack over the pan for the last 20 minutes to get the bottom really crispy. I brushed half of my peppers with barbecue sauce the last 10 minutes. #peppers #bacon #cooking #appetizer #homemade by @delish_tips

Help! Does anyone know what this is? We don’t know what this vegetable is!! They started out like little pale green footballs (US) and now they look like this. Could they have cross pollinated with my zucchini or is this just an unknown variety of squash? #garden #gardenersofinstagram #veggies #share by @delish_tips
