Posting this today on what would’ve been my dog, Prince’s birthday. I never did a proper post because it still doesn’t feel real. Last year in June when @marissaheart brought this combo back, I was going through the toughest week of taking care of him and having to witness him decline so fast. That night last year, this dance gave me everything I needed to heal. I have never felt a release like I did in that class. It was the most freeing dance I’ve ever done. I’ve never felt myself get so lost in a dance the way I did that night, and felt so supported from others in the room, even though nobody knew what was going on in my heart. We lost him the morning after, and that night will always mean so much to me.

I wanted to do this one again in honor of my Prince and the 13 years of memories we had. Nothing compares to how I felt that night I took class, but this became a dance that is just so special and close to my heart. Thank you @marissaheart and @redllama.media for taking the time to do this with me
