Documenting this beautiful day with @librarieswithoutwalls on my feed. Last month I visited @librarieswithoutwalls to mark the end of my fundraiser on their behalf.

I met with some of the children they work with, spoke about the importance of literacy and read to students. I was received warmly by the Team and students with cultural dances and my first ever Citation 🥹.

I’m pleased to announce that I have started a new Assistant Principal role. My responsibilities are: Marketing, Partnerships & Progression and it spans across three Sixth Form sites.

If you know anyone who would love to speak to Sixth Formers about their career/work, please get in touch. Also, if you know any organisations that would be interested in providing Sixth Formers with experience or collaborating on a project, do reach out.

I’ve come to the realisation that I do love the topics of: mindset, planning, inspiration, faith & leadership. I’d be honest and say that after 4 promotions in the space of 7 years, this has been the secret to my success.

I am a natural cheerleader and I want to no longer simply cheerlead my inner personal circle but show up online to both cheerlead and equip people onto SUCCESS💎📣🎉.

How nearly 10 years have flown by… ✨

My temperament is to have high expectations of myself. Expect more, do more & be more. Sometimes, however, I need to pause and reflect, and in reflection, this weekend I realised it had been nearly 10 years since this moment.

It is significant to me because it was the first time I shared my big and somewhat lofty passion for education in a public arena, at a time when my life looked the opposite.

I was in my early 20s and had just finished teacher training. Now I’m an Assistant Headteacher with responsibilities that span three sixth form centres.

It is not easy, but if I can be honest, the context that I am called to is what keeps me going. My beloved continent 🌍❤️.

Education is the bedrock of society. It is the institution that shapes all other institutions. I strongly believe that in order to have a thriving Africa, we need educational systems of excellence that give ordinary children experience, knowledge, character and aptitude to transform their world. I want to be amongst those helping to realise this vision.

I’m not where I want to be, but my journey is a marathon and not a sprint. So I’m learning that sometimes it’s good to reflect with gratitude on the journey, even as I am still on my way to the destination. 🌍

I am not perfect…

And this story is still unfolding…

But one thing I know is that I’m not the same girl who didn’t see herself making it into adulthood.

God changed my story drastically.

First, I refused His invitation to change my life. I had misconceived notions about God and Faith and I didn’t want to know Him.

But step by step, during my teen years, I realised that God is truly GOOD and I can trust Him with my life.

This Easter, if you’re anything like I was at 15. Wondering what the purpose of this thing called life is. Wondering if God can do anything meaningful with your story. Questioning. Doubting. Confused. Lonely. Lost.

I want to let you know that He is more good than you could ever realise. I invite you to consider His invitation. The invite He made 2000 years ago that continues to echo throughout the ages.
