The Gathering of Juggalos 2022 shot by Abdellah Hamouma ,original color grading.
I had driven with some photographers from Newyork that I hadn’t met before from The city in my Hyundai Elantra throughout the night smoking parliaments , whippets were being hit in my passenger seat through out Pennsylvania and West Virginia. I arrive and to be Frank don’t remember too much I was inundated I learned alot about myself how to interact with people as a photographer , I avoided a pop dollar , it rained it was hot it was gross we slept in my car . The people were kind and themselves. Christ for juggalos fed me dry peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Faygo
They weren’t there as juggalos but to maybe show them Salvation, I had broken my camera then and there too my beloved lumix’s flash had stopped working at a crypto currency event , and so I took it as an opportunity to upgrade my equipment to an external flash … skip ahead and my hot shoe litterally falls off at the gathering . At the time flash felt like an essential part of my style I loved it and still do but I was forced to adapt and it worked out , I had learned to use all my available light and it was up from there , the Hyundai dies somewhere outside of Columbus I have to abandon it my boy luis picks me up and we drive back to nyc I arrive back in Brooklyn pack up and drive back to Cincinnati with @saintmiyale
