Hot weather calls for a beach hike. All the Pacific storms have swept up lots of finds 🦪 on the shore. 3.1 miles at South Salmon Creek Beach with fish tacos 🌮 at Fishetarian. Love their new ‘Fish You Were Here’ mural. Aren’t we lucky? 🥾🌊 by @dellingerkc

Anniversary road trip to Ashland, Oregon (home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival) for Taming of the Shrew and Emma, several lovely dinners, plus trips to nearby Jacksonville (Gold Rush town) and Medford (home of Harry & David). Topped off with a visit to Crater Lake National Park (the deepest lake in North America) located in the massive caldera created 7,700 years ago when the volcano Mount Mazama collapsed inward during a violent eruption. The lake is known for its clarity and rich color blue. by @dellingerkc

Day #23 Headed home and actually up before the sun leaving our hotel in Stockholm. Found my perfect dala horse at the airport gift shop but a little big for my carry on.

Put Scandinavia on your list. We particularly enjoyed the lushness of Norway but each country — Denmark, Norway (#45) and Sweden (#46) — is extraordinary in their own right.

The ‘hygge’ culture, use of bikes and so many transportation options, environmental awareness and the overall free market capitalism with a highly comprehensive special welfare system and a strong general equality system all appealed to me.

Danish and Scandic Modern Design, skiing, the Nobel prize, salmon (Kent’s favorite), a global leader in electric vehicles (over 80% of Norway new car sales are electric), IKEA, Volvo, H&M retailers, LEGO, legendary world explorations, the world contributions go on and on for a relatively small geographic area.

This trip brought us 16 new friends, lots of memories and 2 new countries for us both (the # above are for me). Until our next adventure and resulting travel log, get out and go, pack light, leave no trace and happy exploring. 🌎🧳🌏🚘 by @dellingerkc
