*** African Brainrot – solo exhibition by Assya Agbere From November 9 to 14, 2026, at DELPHI_space Opening: Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 6 pm Curator: Maria Claudia Gamboa Assya Agbere (born in 2002 in Metz) graduated from the Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR) in Mulhouse in 2025. In 2026, she was awarded a research and production residency at CRAC Alsace as part of the “Émergences Arts Visuels” program of the Région Grand Est.  During her residency at CRAC Alsace, Assya Agbere developed a project entitled African Brainrot. Borrowed from the lexicon of internet culture, brainrot refers to the effects of excessive and uncritical consumption of online content. The artist appropriated this term to trace the representations of black cultures circulating on the internet.  DELPHI_space is an independent art space located in Freiburg im Breisgau, Brombergstr. 17C. The exhibition is open on Friday from 5 to 8 pm, and from Saturday to Sunday, from 3 to 6 pm. Admission is free and open to everyone. Spatzenhaus with works by the artist in residence David Batigne (@david_batigne) and friends Gabrielle Alexandre (@gabriellealexandre), Jane Bidet (@janebdt), Clemence Bruno (@clemence_bruno), Florian Daut (@dautflorian), and Noémie Vidonne (@noemievdn). Spatzenhaus is about friends, a home, a refuge, a bridge to memories, a place of dreams and rest - a space in flux: one that lets go, and one we miss. The exhibition presents a collection of works that explore our relationship with home, whether imaginary or real. Through friendship, places, and memories, everything is presented as if in a photo album that we’ve reopened to reminisce - and to let the complex emotions evoked by nostalgia and memory resurface. On view at DELPHI_space until 31 July 2026. Open Fridays, 5-8 pm; Saturdays and Sundays, 3-6 pm; or by appointment.
