On this date, August 20th, three years ago, our hearts exploded into a million pieces. This is the date our dear OJ was tragically taken from us. Even though our 2 little blessings have done a lot to help mend our broken hearts, there is a tremendous piece that cannot be replaced. I miss his smile, I miss his hugs, and I miss hearing him say, "I love you." Rest easy, my dear son, knowing our love for you will never die. #AllPraisesToTheMostHigh! by @delta251

What was once one of the happiest days of my life 35 years ago, has now become a date filled with sadness. Today should have been a day to celebrate OJ's 35th birthday, but now it is a day of remembrance. So I say to you, love on your family and make precious memories because there may come a day when your memories are all you have to hold dear to your heart. This little girl has truly been a blessing. It is amazing how God will know what you need even before you need it. Averi was born about 3 months before OJ was killed. After OJ's death, she became my reason to get up each day. Even now, if I am sad, she is quick to ask, "FiFi what's wrong?" Then, she will say, "it's ok." Finally, she will say, FiFi get up." She will not allow me to be sad too long. When I tell you Averi was hand picked for us. She has been able to bring so much joy to an entire family. She is a little girl with a big personality. I want to thank my dear daughter, Tamara French for planning a wonderful Mother's Day getaway. She knew this Mother's Day would be extremely hard without our beloved OJ. And even though she is missing her brother deeply and dealing with the loss of Aubree, she wanted to make sure I was OK. Tamara, I want you to know you are an awesome mother and an amazing daughter. You and Averi are two of the reasons I keep pressing forward day after day. by @delta251

I want to thank my family and friends for all the birthday wishes. I had a very blessed day. I ended the night at Ground Zero Blues Club in Biloxi listening to some awesome music by Reggie King Sears. by @delta251
