Insane live tech like this ALMOST never works this first time..
but - it just did!
At our v0.1 performance at the Bathway Theatre, London.
With the audience inside the 37 speaker #ambisonic dome, feeling as if they were inside @timyatessounds giant saw blade gong and encircled by @arconicsound 3D FX. Through a spatial link attached to his @deltaharp, @jorisbeats could direct his sound around the dome, whirling around as he whirled.

Our heads are still spinning!

It’s impossible to capture any of this for you to experience on a flat screen with mere stereo sound, let alone on a phone. But consider this an invitation to experience v0.2, coming soon to your local ambisonic dome! taken in Bathway Theatre by @deltaharp

We wrote “Betterfields” in the moment we decided to leave our country, when it started the war.
It’s dedicated to everyone who left their home, carrying the memories in their hearts.
If you have your own stories of leaving home, immigrating, or seeking refuge, share them in the comments.
Let’s support each other, no matter where we are!

Alex B:
I left Russia two weeks after the war began, waiting for my concert on International Women’s Day, where I performed a piece by a composer born in Kyiv and addressed my audience for the last time.
I still don’t know why the riot police came to our rehearsal, but I booked a 7 a.m. flight on the next day, just in case.
I had no other choice because living in compromise means deceiving myself and justifying increasingly terrible things.
Russia wasn’t just my home but a part of my culture and worldview.
Now I often ask myself: what does it mean to be Russian?
Because it feels like it wasn’t me distancing from my home, but my home distancing from me.

Alex M:
Before the war I spent years on the road, traveling to different countries, playing shows and getting to know other cultures.
I never thought much about what “home” meant - it was just a place I used to stay at when I wasn’t on the road.
But everything changed when I had to leave Russia for good.
When the war began, I couldn’t tear myself away from the news, struggling to believe that this was happening to my country.
It broke something inside me.
Now I feel this deep connection to the place where I grew up. Though I’m slowly healing from the trauma, the sense of home has never been more important and I can’t stop caring about what’s happening in Russia.
Despite the kindness and support from other countries, my bond with my homeland remains strong.

Elettroclass is a four-day intensive course, taking place 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 to 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵, designed for harpists of all musical genres. It offers a unique chance to delve into the capabilities of both electric and electroacoustic harps, teaching you how to creatively utilize electronic equipment.

Organized by Salvi Harps in collaboration with the @conservatorio_ghedini_cuneo and its Electronic Music Department @mets_conservatoriocuneo , Elettroclass features classes led by METS teachers and includes internationally renowned harpists such as @remyvkesteren , @marcella.carboni , and @vanjaharp.

Why should you not miss this edition? The comprehensive lectures by 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 will cover the main topics of acoustics and electroacoustics, including amplification, recording, effects, software, and live electronics.

But there's more! 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 will be on hand to provide additional lessons, advice, and direct teachings on the differences between acoustic, electric, and electroacoustic harps, Loop stations, chord reading, improvisation, and rhythmic patterns.
