I’m absolutely thrilled and deeply honored that Brownsville Bred has been nominated for Best Feature Film at the Imagen Impact Awards.

As an independent filmmaker, this recognition is truly a dream come true. So much love, sacrifice, and heart went into bringing this story to life, and to have it acknowledged in this way means more than I can express.

Every step of this journey has been fueled by an incredible community of cast, crew, producers, supporters, audiences, family and everyone who believed in this film long before the world had a chance to see it. This nomination belongs to all of you as much as it does to me.

Thank you to the Imagen Foundation for this incredible honor. My heart is so full today. Thanks @therealvictorelizalde and @vivapicturesco for helping this film be seen.
