@salomonfaye made a decision most artists no longer make. Book of Salomon was never uploaded anywhere. It exists only as one hundred vinyl copies, and on July 13 we play one of them front to back. Unless you own a copy, a session like this is the only place the album can reach you.
The record traces Salomon’s own geography through New York, Paris, and Senegal. Hip hop sits at its root, blossoming outward into rap, rock, and trip hop, threaded with traditional Senegalese khassidas.
This session will not be pitch black. Projections accompany the album from start to finish, followed by a Q&A with Salomon Faye and Arjun Shah. by @demeanor.resources
