At some point, we come to understand that time isn’t promised. We try our best to mentally prepare for the reality that nothing—and no one—is forever. Yet, some things will still hit you hard, no matter how much you tell yourself, ‘You know it’s coming.’

Asha, you were more than a dog. You were family. For nearly 14 years, you’ve been always been there to protecting us and watch Tyheir as he grew into the young man he is today. Always loyal, always ready to give unconditional love, greeting me at the door without fail. You held on as long as you could, just long enough to see Tyheir—‘your boy’—one last time .Even in your final moments, as I sat on the floor with you petting you, you rested your head in my lap and placed your paw in my hand, letting me know it was going to be okay.

As I was approaching another milestone of life I aggressively and intentionally prayed that I have the best environment around me to grow and flourish into my fullest capability. Environment as a whole; people, places, or things around me.
As the months passed and my next trip around the sun approached, some things stood out, and others fell back. This past week I was blessed to able to celebrate another birthday and do so with family, some that I haven’t had the privilege of seeing in years. I am extremely humbled and beyond grateful for all the warm wishes. Thank you 🤍 taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @demeanor_music
