Access to healthcare shouldn’t depend on your income, your employer, or how much money you have in the bank.

A system that makes staying healthy a privilege for the wealthy instead of a basic human right is a system that needs to change.

Health shouldn’t be a luxury. And health are shouldn’t be a privilege.

Remember that at the polls tomorrow.

We keep waiting for someone to fix our broken food system. And yet, it’s blatantly obvious we’re going to need to take matters into our own hands. So I have an idea…

If just 10% of Americans spent an extra $5 a week buying directly from local farmers, we’d put nearly $9 BILLION a year directly into their hands.

Five bucks. A latte costs more than that! That’s the difference between talking about supporting farmers and actually giving them a fighting chance.

The future of food isn’t just being decided in Washington or corporate boardrooms. We’re deciding it every time we spend a dollar. #regenerativeagriculture #montana #thefutureoffood #rewild #rewildranchmt by @demersjill

Isn’t looking out for the American people literally the government’s job? I mean, “promote the general welfare” is right there in the Constitution.

I’m all for fiscal responsibility. But cutting food assistance and healthcare while handing out trillions in tax cuts? Make that make sense.

And when did expecting access to food, healthcare, clean air and clean water become some a radical idea?

We can disagree about how to get there. But shouldn’t we at least agree that taking care and prioritizing the majority of people matters more than tax cuts for the wealthiest 1%?

Maybe it’s time we stop fighting each other and start questioning the people making these decisions. Let’s hold them accountable at the polls. #healthypeoplehealthyplanet #rewild #rewildranchmt by @demersjill

140 miles, a sore bum, an epic adventure w one of my fav people, and a whole lot to think about.

Food with roots. Meals that take hours. Time outside. Conversations nobody needs to win.

We shouldn’t have to leave the country to find that.

I came home even clearer about why we’re building ReWild. Growing food matters. So does giving people a reason to put their phones down, get outside, and do something together.

Can I at least write the mugging off on my taxes? #rewildranchmt #farmgirl #montana #regenerativeagriculture by @demersjill

I started ReWild bc I believe that healthy people + healthy planet belong in the same conversation.

Farmers need to make a living wage, everyone needs to be able to access real food grown responsibly in their communities + small farms need to stop being swallowed by corporate Goliaths.

We shouldn’t have to choose between these things.

Think the Farm Bill doesn’t directly affect you? Think again.

It decides what gets funded, what gets grown and which farms get to survive.

And the people building a better food system aren’t even at the table.

You eat three times a day.
This affects you three times a day. Pay attention.

One cup of coffee and suddenly I’m connecting corn subsidies, ultra-processed food and the cost of chronic disease.

Welcome. It’s exhausting in here.
