A life like this belongs in a category of its own, not because it lasted 94 years, but because of how fully it was lived. With a deep trust in people and a constant belief that things would work out, even when no one could fathom exactly how.

My grandpa was living proof that there is no age limit on joy or ambition. Especially ambition that brings joy.

What exactly do you say when your entire life is flipped upside down? I’ve been struggling with how to communicate this news, so I decided to share the last few months through my camera roll.

After pouring myself into a shared dream for over a decade, my whole past - and what I believed would be my whole future - became two people who had grown, but in different directions.

There were many things I’d hoped for in 2025, and this was not one of them. As difficult as it was to accept, it seemed the only thing we had left to give each other was the freedom to follow our own paths.

To say I didn’t expect to be starting over is an understatement. I have no idea what’s next, but I’m choosing to trust that I am where I’m meant to be.

The only promise I have now is to myself: not to stay hidden anymore. From anyone, really. But especially not from me.

As for my path, I’ve decided to begin again in a place I love. My first time living truly alone, but not lonely.

To my Seattle people, I am closing this chapter but never ever closing my memories, connection, gratitude, and love for you.

To my San Diego people… hi. 🙂 I like you already.

Here’s to the next chapter.
