Listennn… you can’t keep saying “I’m not happy” and then tucking yourself back into the same life just because it feels safe.

You’re not stuck, Sizz — you’re comfortable. Comfortable staying in what’s familiar and acceptable to everybody else, even though it doesn’t even fit who you are in this chapter anymore.

One of the hardest lessons I had to learn was this: I get to redefine what happy and fulfilled looks like for me now. Not for the old me. Not for my family. Not for friends. For me.

We were raised to play it safe, shrink a little, and be palatable so nobody else gets uncomfortable. That right there is the lie I decided to burn down when I wrote Sizzle Boldly.

This book is for the one midlife woman who is finally ready to stand on the edge of her own life and say, “Yeah… I want different now,” and actually mean it.

Happy Friday, Sizz! ✨

As you’re getting ready for the weekend, here’s what I’ve come to understand…

Choosing yourself is hard because many of us were conditioned to believe that being a “good woman” meant putting ourselves last. We became the strong one, the fixer, the people pleaser, the woman everyone could count on. Those identities weren’t fake—they were protective. They helped us survive. But they were never meant to become our identity.

Maybe this weekend looks different.

Maybe you say yes to what brings you joy. Maybe you wear the outfit that’s been hanging in your closet. Maybe you try something new, rest without guilt, or simply make space for yourself.

I don’t think most women have a confidence problem. I think they have an identity problem. And sometimes choosing yourself isn’t selfish—it’s the first step toward living from the identity God gave you instead of the one you built just to survive.

Get Ready with me and don’t miss this message ….

I think one of the hardest transitions as a parent is releasing your adult children.

You still love them. You still want to protect them. You still wish you could shield them from every bad decision and every painful consequence. But there comes a point when you have to recognize that their journey belongs to them, and their relationship with God has to become their own.

As parents, we can love them, pray for them, and encourage them, but we can’t be their God. Some lessons they have to learn for themselves, and some places only God can reach.

Trust God. Stop stressing. Let Him be their God.
