Completed my first Hyrox Open Solo last week with a time of 2:11:49.

Definitely not the timing I was hoping for, but I’ll take it for my first hyrox. There’s a lot to work on, and next time we’re definitely aiming for a much better time.

Just 5 days before the race, I got food poisoning, which meant no proper carb loading. That, along with everything else, led to some really bad cramping from the 4th station all the way till the end.

I was honestly almost ready to give up during the sandbag lunges, but we kept going, kept pushing, and somehow made it to the finish line.

Despite everything, it was an epic race. The whole experience was honestly surreal, and I’m really glad I got to experience my first Hyrox.

Now, it’s time to get back in shape, drop a few kilos, hit the gym more consistently, and get my running back on track. There’s definitely a lot to improve before the next one.

Huge shoutout to all the judges for being so kind, the physios, the camera crew, and everyone working behind the scenes. You guys made the experience even better. 🙌

Now I need to start planning the next race. Until then, follow along for more content. I’ll try to be a lot more consistent with posting now. 😅

Did my first ever HYROX, and honestly, it’s an experience everyone should have at least once.
