𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝗼 ao vivo na primeira edição do 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗵𝗮 𝗱'𝗔ç𝗼, em Abril de 2025.

Coube ao conjunto lisboeta abrir as hostilidades no púlpito da 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲ç𝗮𝘀, dando início a um festival integralmente dedicado a acolher bandas originárias da vetusta Lusitânia.

A sequência inicial transportou-nos através do EP 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘈𝘣𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘺, registo de estreia da banda, mas também desfilariam pela sala temas de 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴, 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘔𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳, disco que haveria de ser editado no final de Maio e que, para nós, seria um dos melhores álbuns forjados em território nacional, no ano de 2025.

A hora vespertina fez com que o recinto não estivesse cheio, enquanto 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝗼 exprimia a sua arte. Contudo, o aroma a Sludge Metal que ia emanando do palco, temperado com doses subtis de Death e Doom, foi chamando cada vez mais gente ao salão de festa. Por outro lado, o vocalista 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘀 mostrou-se incansável, não poupando uma gota de suor e incentivando a plateia a fazer tremer um espaço que soma 145 anos de história.

“Necropotent” fechou um set intenso, que não terá deixado ninguém indiferente. O peso e o groove destilados por 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝗼 terão, certamente, conquistado novos seguidores!

A edição deste ano do festival decorrerá nos dias 27 e 28 de Março, na 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲ç𝗮𝘀, e contará com as presenças de 𝗠ã𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮, 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗼, 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼, 𝗥.𝗔.𝗠.𝗣., 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿, 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮, 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 e 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂á𝗿𝗶𝗮.

(Pt) 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 no palco do 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝗯𝗼𝗮 𝗮𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗼.

Coube aos norte-americanos abrir as hostilidades numa noite em que os holofotes incidiam sobre os regressos de 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗵𝗲𝗺 e 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘂𝗸 a Portugal, dois nomes incontornáveis no que à história do Black Metal diz respeito. Porém, a banda oriunda de Nova York não se fez rogada e aproveitou o tempo disponível para nos oferecer uma autêntica tempestade sonora!

A sequência de abertura remeteu-nos para 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥, registo de 2022 e aquele que acabaria por merecer honras de destaque. Depois do instrumental "Abandoned" e de "An Act of God", a formação liderada por 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻 e 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮 embarcou numa viagem musical que percorreu quase toda a sua discografia, sendo que houve espaço para escutar "Adversary", um dos temas que fará parte do álbum 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵, cuja edição está prevista para o dia 10 de Abril, através da Nuclear Blast.

Antes do cair do pano, "The Age of No Light" deixou Lisboa imersa na escuridão, colocando ponto final numa actuação arrebatadora.

(Eng) 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 at 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝗯𝗼𝗮 𝗮𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗼.

It was up to the American outfit to open hostilities on a night where the spotlight was mainly on the returns of 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗵𝗲𝗺 and 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘂𝗸 to Portugal, two unavoidable names in the history of Black Metal. However, the band from New York did not hold back and made the most of the time available to deliver a true sonic storm!

The opening sequence took us straight to 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥, the band’s 2022 record, which ultimately received special focus during the set. After the instrumental “Abandoned” and “An Act of God”, the lineup led by 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻 and 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮 embarked on a musical journey that crossed almost their entire discography. There was also room to hear “Adversary”, one of the tracks set to appear on the album 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵, scheduled for release on April 10 through Nuclear Blast.

Before the curtain fell, “The Age of No Light” left Lisbon immersed in darkness, bringing an overwhelming performance to a close.

(Pt) 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦, quarto registo discográfico dos suecos 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗵, foi editado no dia 18 de Outubro de 1999, com o selo da 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀.

Já passaram 27 anos...

O disco é uma obra conceptual e narra a história de um homem, outrora condenado por heresia e forçado a abandonar a sua terra natal, que regressa do exílio para resgatar Melinda, o seu amor proibido. Uma jornada de devoção inabalável que culmina em tragédia: a execução da sua amada desencadeia uma vingança brutal, unindo, finalmente, os dois amantes no abraço derradeiro da morte.

(Eng) 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦, the fourth studio album by Swedish band 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗵, was released on October 18, 1999, via 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀.

27 years have passed...

The album is a conceptual work that tells the story of a man who, once condemned for heresy and forced to leave his homeland, returns from exile to reclaim Melinda, his forbidden love. A journey of unwavering devotion that culminates in tragedy: the execution of his beloved unleashes a brutal act of vengeance, finally uniting the two lovers in death’s final embrace.

(Pt) 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻 no palco do 𝗩𝗮𝗴𝗼𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁, em Agosto de 2026.

Ao segundo dia do festival, a Quinta do Ega foi assaltada por gélidos e impiedosos ventos do Norte...

𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻, banda que emergiu das trevas em 1991, na cidade de Oslo, teve papel fundamental na construção dos alicerces que suportam o cenário Black Metal norueguês, pelo que era enorme a nuvem de expectativa que inundava o recinto, pouco antes da entrada em cena de 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘆𝗿, 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁 e seus pares.

Ao longo do espectáculo, o grupo percorreu grande parte da sua discografia, sem deixar de fora temas como «Walk in the Path of Sorrow» e «Mother North», sendo que o epílogo chegou ao som de «K.I.N.G.», malha editada em Abril de 2006, com o álbum 𝘕𝘰𝘸, 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭.

On the festival’s second day, Quinta do Ega was swept by the icy, merciless winds of the North...

Emerging from the shadows in 1991, in the city of Oslo, 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻 played a fundamental role in laying the foundations of the Norwegian black metal scene. As such, a palpable sense of anticipation filled the festival grounds shortly before 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘆𝗿, 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁 and their bandmates took to the stage.

Throughout the performance, the band journeyed across much of its discography, making room for tracks such as «Walk in the Path of Sorrow» and «Mother North». The show reached its climax with «K.I.N.G.», a song released in April 2006 on the album 𝘕𝘰𝘸, 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭.

(Pt) Os germânicos 𝗗𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗴 𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗵𝗲𝗶𝘁 foram um dos destaques da edição deste ano do 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁, evento que decorreu no dia 19 de Setembro em Rio de Moinhos, concelho de Penafiel.

«Fragment» saiu em 2025, com o álbum 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘯, e rodou no episódio de 23 de Setembro de 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, na 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗠.

(Eng) German band 𝗗𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗴 𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗵𝗲𝗶𝘁 were one of the highlights of this year’s 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁, which took place on September 19 in Rio de Moinhos, Penafiel, Portugal.

“Fragment”, released in 2025 as part of the album 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘯, was played during the September 23 episode of 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, on 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗠.
