A major step in my author journey! 🌟 I’m thrilled to share that I am now represented by @megancarrollagent at @watsonlittleltd !

When I spoke with Megan and Ayesha about their vision for my manuscript, I felt an instant “I can’t wait to work on this with you” spark.

The well-meaning but slightly eyeroll-inducing encouragement I’d been getting from my writer friends that the right agent will love what I’m doing and know how to elevate it finally clicked.

I can’t wait to make Warmer With You and future projects shine in Megan and her team’s capable hands✨ and I’m so grateful for @smoochpitig @hannahbrohm and everyone else who has helped me and my Antarctic rom-com reach this milestone! 🥂 by @demorywrites

Ahead of the SmoochPit agent showcase, here are 5 reasons you’ll love Warmer With You, a Legally Blonde inspired rom-com set on an Antarctic research vessel⛴️🩵

Written off as unserious by her ex-boyfriend and her network executives, a perky reality TV producer boards an Antarctic research ship, hoping that a stint as a documentarian will prove them wrong, but an unexpected affection for the frozen continent and an icy scientist set her plans adrift, and the life she’s scripted might not be what she wants after all.❄️

We’re so excited to share the amazing pitch for @demorywrites!

PITCH: Hoping to finally be taken seriously, a perky reality TV producer boards an Antarctic research ship as a documentarian, but as she struggles on the ice, her only lifeboat is the stern scientist set on keeping feelings at bay.

As a reminder, if you’re an agent hoping to attend, please reach out so we can register you ahead of time!

Summer reading is over! My top 3 reads from the season:
🧚Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett (and also the sequel! I’ve been saving #3 because I’m not ready to be done with them, but #1 was the perfect book for a camping trip)
♟️ Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood (I wasn’t reading very much this summer because I was a busy bee, but once I started this I couldn’t put it down)
👯‍♀️ All the Women in My Brain: And Other Concerns by Betty Gilpin (I listened to this one and was entertained and moved. I’ve found myself thinking about the weirdness of its prose a lot)

Hoping to read a lot more in the cozy fall weather but will definitely miss the routine of read then swim then read then swim☀️ taken in Seattle, Washington by @demorywrites
