Today is our 39th year of marriage! Last year we celebrated at @ribroompgh a private dining space inside of @meatandpotatoespgh We thoroughly enjoyed our meal of Prime Rib, Brussels sprouts, Yorkshire pudding. Salads and Baked Alaska. Of course we toasted the occasion with the 1944 Mai Tai since we just had returned from a trip to Maui and the waitstaff treated us with a complimentary glass of bubbly! 🥂 We are off to celebrate tonight. Here’s to 39 years and 3 children and 3 grandchildren later. #happyaniversary❤️ #39thanniversary #blacklove #ribroom by @denaliyu

Favorite daughter @dreabonita reminded me yesterday that it was a year ago that we as family took a vacation together to Maui, Hawaii. We started early in the morning @delta Sky Club at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson before our long trip to paradise. Of course I started the morning with @unclenearest cocktail. Our Delta One service, food and drinks were great. I watched 3 movies and slept to pass time. I also counted down the hours because my anxiety when I fly can be off the charts. 😬 So if you need to get away, let this serve as a reminder, you work hard, you deserve to take time off to get away no matter if it’s across the world or across town. Next trip is loading 🇯🇲 #familyvacay #family #blackfamilytravel #deltaone #deltaskyclub #maui #hawaii #retiredtravelers #vacationmode #atlantahartsfieldjackson #honolulu #jamaicaupnext by @denaliyu

Yesterday I had the opportunity to be apart of what I’m hoping to be history by America electing the first woman president @vp @kamalaharris at the Vote for Freedom Rally in Pittsburgh. I attended this adventure alone without fear because I knew I would be surrounded by thousands of liked minded people and I was. Everyone of every race, nationality, color, age, gender and I’m sure religious beliefs were in attendance. It made my heart happy to see this. The enthusiasm was electric and the Harris Walz campaign did their thing! Shuttled to and from the rally site. There were food trucks and they had water for everyone. Today is the day America decides if she wants to go Forward or backwards to some archaic ideals that’s not beneficial to anyone. The choice is ours! Go Vote if you haven’t. There’s still time. Sitting this one out is not an option. #pittsburghforharriswalz #pittsburgh #voteforfreedom #ivotedalready🇺🇸 #govote #votebluetosaveamerica🇺🇸💙 #voteforkamalatoday #harriswalz2024 taken in Carrie Furnace by @denaliyu
