Another @lotojaclassic in the books. I’m so in awe of the many participants and the absolute work they put in to training for the 206 mile ride. But the one who holds my heart and the one I cheer loudest for will always be @jjjohnyboy 🚴‍♀️ He trained hard and worked hard all spring/summer. I couldn’t be more proud to call him mine. Being on the support side isn’t a cake walk but man - 11 hours on a bike seat isn’t one either. 🔥 #10 ✅ and #11 is just 363 days away! by @denecej4

This Father’s Day is different … different in a way that has brought many tears but also much peace. I was blessed in my life to have a father who taught me that love and compassion is better than monetary things in life. He taught by example what a Disciple of Christ acts like. He taught me to work and laugh and that when done together, the task wasn’t ever as big as it seemed. I miss you dad. I wish I could call you and talk about things that you’d know the answer to. And I can - I just need to be still and I can hear you. I visited home this morning and sat on your cute scooter with Sitka sitting at my feet. He misses you too. This man. My hero. A sweet friend just called me and asked how I was doing today, November 11, 2025, Veterans Day. Dad was a WWII Veteran and it was an honor to be with him in public as he wore that Veterans hat of his. Strangers would thank him for his service and his response would always be the same…. “It was my pleasure” 🇺🇸 My brother Ray gave him a new hat for Christmas every year because he would wear it right out. These firsts without him have been hard. I miss my daily calls - I miss hearing “hi sweetheart”. I miss those beautiful blue eyes and the ding of your computer game when we talked. I miss the laughs we had because your checkbook would be 3 Pennie’s off and you’d lose sleep. I just miss you dad. So much. Mom better be taking care of you or she’s in double trouble! I love you! Thank you for the wonderful life and memories you gave me. I’m so grateful I know I will see you again! 🤍 by @denecej4

Dad, you gave me 63 years of memories, of laughter, of sweet peace and love 🤍 You raised me to be kind 🤍 you let me lean on your testimony before I found my own 🤍 you taught me the importance of following through on promises 🤍 you were patient and understanding if I lost my way 🤍 you taught me that laughter was healing and tears were important 🤍 my heart is hurting but full at the same time because I KNOW where you are 🤍 you taught me the importance of integrity 🤍 what it means to truly listen to understand 🤍 it was a gift to be with you so much and hold hands as we drove 🤍 to see the courage it took you to try to get better after your fall was inspiring 🤍 you are my hero and my friend and my guide 🤍 as I type this and catch glimpses of your wedding ring on my thumb, I am reminded that life is an eternal circle and for now your circle is surrounding me in your arms 🤍 I honor the name you gave me and honor the man you are 🤍 with all my heart I love you 🤍 forever 🤍 by @denecej4

Our family said goodbye to our oldest brother today. Reg was gentle and oh so kind 💙 He was my hero and friend 💙 He teased me relentlessly when I was young but always made up for it with a fierce hug 💙 his smile was so big you could see it in his eyes 💙 he loved his children and grandchildren fiercely 💙 Reg worked tirelessly on the farm and never complained 💙 and he’s finally free from this physical body that was betraying him and with his sweetheart once again 💙 I love you with my whole heart Reg and I’ll forever be your “baby sis”…til we meet again big brother 💙😘 by @denecej4

One of my favorite things to do in the fall is dry apples. This morning as I was cutting and placing them on the racks, I was listening to the rain and enjoying the quiet in my house. No music, TV or distractions. Just peace. And I felt the presence of my sweet mom. 🩵 One of my fondest memories of childhood was running home from the bus stop,
grabbing my apron and heading to the utility room where I’d find mom humming softly as she canned fruit, jams and jellies, dried fruit and made fruit leather. Her smile when seeing me come in to help her is still a core memory for me and one that I can picture clearly. I love you mom. I miss you terribly but because of God’s infinite and eternal plan, I know I’ll see that smile, hear that beautiful voice and feel those arms hold me tight. 💜 Til then I’ll keep trying to do my best to make you proud. by @denecej4

I needed to find a great mobile detailer for my dads car and I hit the jackpot! He worked miracles on dad’s car@and then came to my house and took care of the truck. @stradleyfoutch does an incredible job! It’s all ready for the rain and snow now thanks to him! 💧❄️☀️ by @denecej4

We had the wonderful opportunity of attending Bandstand put on by @dogoodtheatre last night where they honored our families very own WWII Veteran. It was full of so many talented actors and actresses. Take the time this week to see it!!! It was such an emotional evening for dad and I as he relived that time in his life. There are always so many good people who thank him for his service, but last night as we felt the great respect and heartfelt “thank you for your service” from so many, it made me realize just how truly blessed we are to have men and women who have fought, and still fight for our freedoms - not just because they want to, but because we are worth it. So from my very full heart, thank you to all service men and women for your service. I love my country 🇺🇸🥹 by @denecej4
