Otto ❤️ you’re 5! We’re so proud of you. You’re imaginative, funny, kind, smart, sensitive, helpful, (you even remind mom things she needs to remember lol) and you’re so outgoing and good at making friends. We LOVE you! We celebrated with your cousins Hazel and Sapphire and their families Monday. Some of your mom’s side of the family also came. We went swimming at the manluk centre, came home and had a moose meat dinner with spider man cake 🥰 today you went to school and when you came home we gave you new spiderman jammies, and a web shooter you’ll definitely have to share with Owen 🤣 we are so pleased with who you are growing up to be. We pray your relationship with the Lord continues to be real to you, and that His love carries you through all your days. May His Spirit be evident in your life always. …he missed the bus 🤣
The school sent an email saying they changed the time. It got sent to my spam folder 🙄🙈 he was so excited to go on the bus lol. Guess he’ll have the next 12 years to look forward to riding it. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣 I wasn’t expecting to feel a twinge of sadness dropping him off. I suppose this is bittersweet. Happy Father’s Day 🥳💕
Isaac is such a good dad! He loves his boys with every fibre of his being. He was made to be a dad in every sense of the word ❤️
My dad brought us up to be helpful, kind, musical, and fostered a sense of continued curiosity about the world no matter how old you are. His generosity is like no other. He prompted mom to consider fostering=bringing my 3 younger siblings and I into their family ❤️ Cody and I bought him a bass pro bbq with a stuffed fishie for him as his gift for Father’s Day 🥰😂
I miss my biological dad. He died in January of 2019. He was the last witness to stand for my biological mother’s murder trial that was set for April 2019. Since he died before trial, the court dropped the entire case and let the guy that was charged go. I miss my bio dad and the stories he would tell me of his life as a Métis man and the history we come from on his side.
Isaac’s dad loves Otto and Owen as his grandkids. He helped build a sandbox this month for the boys 😁 they have the biggest sandbox I’ve ever seen for any kid 🤣

To my little sister ❤️ we honoured you today in moms Nation. You had people sing songs, and pray prayers both in English and Cree. Your family wore ribbon skirts and shirts, family brought food to share, we played a slideshow of you both Andi, Isaac and myself worked on, we had a pastor preach a sermon about God’s love always reaching those who are brokenhearted, and how He always reached for you earthside. “A hard life is not a worthless life…. A coin that you can’t see because of the mud and mire it might have on it does not diminish its value.” there was some laughter, and a whole lot of tears as well. Two of your kids made it with their families you entrusted them to ❤️ Maggie I can’t begin to describe what it feels like to lose you earth side, to grieve you and wish for a different outcome. I have all these memories to keep of you, to store in my heart and mind. I did my best to plan this day for you in how we remember your life today in Beaver Lake. There is this deep longing I will have for the rest of my days here without you. Maggie I love you. We all love you. There will be another service for you at Stony Plain Alliance church where we grew up going to youth group. There are so many that wish to pay their respects in your memory. We will never ever forget you. And there are many that will tell your children of who you were, and the deep love we have for you. Maggie ❤️ oh Maggie… we will miss you. You left us March 17 and we only found out today. My little sister ❤️ you are with God and I just know Heaven is rejoicing. I love you, and I will always be proud that you were part of my life. Rest In Peace sister.

Owen 😁❤️ our curious, sweet, musical, artistic, intelligent boy 🥺 you’re 3 today! Mom made lasagna for you and your dads bday, and then u opened your dinosaur present from mom and dad ❤️ we went to the pool to meet up with your cousins and your aunts and uncles, and we came back home to have ice cream and presents with them too. You were so happy this evening and very charming. We asked you what you wanted to be when you grow up and u said “mmmm…. Uncle Cody” 🤣❤️😁 aunt Andi read you a book in your pjs, and we FaceTimed aunt Emily and grandma before bed too ❤️ these days are so pure. Thank God we have you to share it with 🥹❤️ we pray you grow into a man that knows our Creator, and lives for Him. Trust God with your life nikosis, may you know His peace. Mother I miss you.
15 years without you. 15 years worth of things we can’t call and tell you about, or have you live to see what we are today. Mom, there’s not a day that passes by where I don’t think about you, and wonder about so many things I can’t ask you anymore. My boys wonder about who their kokum is and I can’t seem to put into words how to explain who you are without breaking their hearts or confusing them. One day they’ll know, and I don’t look forward to how I have to tell them how you left us earthside. I often cry about children getting to hug their mothers in movies more often than I used to. I know both my moms are the hole that can’t fill those gaps anymore. I will miss both your arms to embrace us when my life needs a mother so desperately. I will thank God that He fills the emptiness I feel when I miss you terribly. 15 years… you have been gone more than the time I had you. The Lord has been filling my life with mother figures of all kinds lately and it’s been healing in some ways.
