Hello friends, family & colleagues - I’ve been nervous and a bit hesitant to publicly share about my journey because of how intense & harrowing it’s been. In January of 2022, I unfortunately had a health crisis (a stroke) that required immediate brain surgery, which I spent the next few months and years recovering from. I had to relearn how to sit and stand, how to walk, and how to eat. It’s been an extremely frightening journey, but I’m blessed to have an incredible village of support and love around me. And to live in close proximity to arguably the best brain injury rehab facility in the world. I needed so much hands-on care that it was best for me to live with my parents. They graciously offered me the personal care and day-to-day support that I needed with bathing and dressing, meal prep, and medication management. So I’m excited to share that recently I’ve been able to move back into my own home which has felt really good! It’s been a huge motivator for me to get back to my own place since leaving the hospital. I’m so grateful by @denelld

Took a trip to Santa Fe, NM and my favorite part was spending time at @ojosantaferesort. I wrote in my journal, soaked in the natural hot springs, made friends, went swimming and spent time eating delicious food while admiring the pear trees on the property. An amazing experience, and I cannot wait to return. taken in Ojo Santa Fe by @denelld

I had such a fun time yesterday at Beekeeping 101 through @airbnbexperiences. My honeybee @sincerelyshirlynn learned about the life cycle of bees, saw the queen bee emerge from her hive, and got some fresh honey from the bees. Edward is a great teacher and best of all he’s a Que from VSU! by @denelld
