A decade here, I arrived with fear and stayed with purpose✨

10 years ago I arrived in California… and if I’m honest, I didn’t really want to be here. 🤭🛬

Leaving meant saying goodbye to the people I loved and stepping into the unknown, and that scared me. 🥹🫂

At first I felt very small. New streets, unfamiliar faces, a completely different world. To cope with it, the first thing I said was: “I need to go to school now.” 💗

I arrived on a Saturday, by Wednesday, I was already in a classroom. 🍎

That’s where everything began to change.

I met teachers I’ll always be grateful for and friends who are still part of my life today. During a tour of the school, I saw the theater and the dance room — and I knew that was where I belonged. 💃🏽🎭

Three months later I started speaking English.I saw the ocean.People welcomed me. 🥹🌊🤍

Somewhere along the way, I made a promise to myself: to grow, to help build community, and to become a powerful and ambitious woman in whatever I chose to do. 🌟💜

My dreams became goals. And then possibilities. ♥️

Ten years later, I’m still working on them — honoring my roots, remembering my loved ones, embracing where I came from, where I am, and building a life in this place that became my other beautiful home. 🏠🫀

Thank you, California — for your lovely people, the sun, the ocean, the palm trees, the berries, the friendships, and the opportunities. 🙏🏽🏝️💛

Ten years ago I arrived afraid of the unknown. 🥹

Today, I’m building my dreams inside it.🌷🥰

Este año tuvo muchos giros inesperados
Me prendió fuego.
No para destruirme,
sino para darme cuenta de qué estaba hecha.

Me movió la vida completa.
Me puso a prueba.
Me dolió.

Y aun así… sigo avanzando.
Yo no huyo del fuego:
Yo soy el fuego y lo transformo.
Hoy se lo que habita en mí.

Esta es mi justicia:
volver a elegir la vida,
vivirla a mi manera,
con amor, compartiendo y creando.

Tuve y tengo razones para arder de rabia.
Elijo arder de fuerza y trabajar en algo único y lindo.

Tengo garra.
Soy aguerrida.
Soy fuego que no se apaga y no se para.

Agradecida con quienes no soltaron mi mano,
con mi familia, con mis amistades.
Con mi papá y mi hermano,
con mi madre,
que me sigue enseñando a pelear con el corazón, y guerrear con fuerza
con mi cuerpo, mi espiritualidad, con el arte y mis ganas de hacer que el 2026 sea exitoso, abundante, amoroso, único y mío.

Hoy celebro el brillo que nace desde el corazón, la magia que habita en lo sencillo, en lo que brilla sin esperar ser visto, porque ahí es donde vive lo verdadero, en la luz que vamos construyendo, como una lámpara flotando en la noche, llevando deseos al cielo, convirtiéndose en polvo de estrellas con la esperanza de que algún día eso que tanto deseo me encuentre, y siempre con gratitud en el alma, honrando lo que esta hoy, lo que es tangible y también lo invisible: los sueños, las señales, todo lo que sigue creciendo dentro de mí, dejando que la luz de lo sutil guíe mi camino.

Este año me elijo, elijo ser leal a mi esencia, mi arte, mis movimientos, elijo sentir como me gusta sentir y ser a mi manera, hacer lo que me da felicidad, decidir a mi manera, conectar, cambiar, empatizar y crear. Este año elijo amor, abundancia, poder, salud, experiencias, magia en cada parte de mi vida porque soy todo eso y soy mucho más, que la vida me siga sorprendiendo y me dé muchas cosas por aprender, vivir, hacer y sentir que yo le regresaré cada parte con mucha gratitud.
