Looking back, I realize sports gave me pieces of myself I didn’t even know I needed. 🥹 I became the first African American girl at my school to play all varsity sports, broke a school record, built friendships I’ll cherish forever, and discovered a leader within myself I didn’t even know existed. Now, as I take my last walk through each sport, I can’t help but look back at every teammate, every lesson, and every moment that made this journey so special. I’m realizing just how much of myself I’ve left on every field, court, and team. Thank you to my athletic department, coaches, teammates, and everyone who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to grow, lead, compete, and leave my mark. I’m walking away with more than records—I’m walking away knowing I made history, created memories that will last a lifetime, and hopefully inspired the next girl to dream even bigger. I may be leaving these sports, but the friendships, lessons, and legacy I leave behind will always be a part of me. 💚💛🐊🏆 by @denijahbailey
