A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to perform in Copenhagen, Denmark at Klubb. I love the stage. Truthfully earlier that week my immune system had betrayed me so I wasn’t sure how I would sound but thankfully my voice showed up for me because it literally sounded like my voice went through a cheese grater days prior😂. Where my live performers at? What do you love about the stage? Audience is important too so tell me what you love about your favourite live performers. Y’all drop your comments below! #liveperformance #wednesdayhumpday #instalike #copenhagen by @denisedeion

#aboutlastnight Pulled up to Sankofa (I still call it Dundas😂) Square to support the homie @anikamariemusic for her show! Then we hit the mean streets of Toronto, fed the beast inside Shake Shack and avoided touching every dutty staircase rail possible lol but this is our city. We luh the vibes! Also my outfit was fire. Don’t you think?😬 #torontogirl #liveperformance #fashionista #instalike by @denisedeion

A picture says a thousand words but this picture says so much more. I had the opportunity to collaborate with @saracurruchich is a Guatemalan singer/songwriter and our worlds are miles a part literally and figuratively. Through the shared love of music we created this song (slide left) “Compañera” during the @nac.cna trip to Copenhagen. When I asked her about the meaning of the song she spoke of it being “a song for friends who are like sisters, for those moments when they hold us up, or we hold them up, during hard times. It is a song that embraces our connection; the voices and words of our friends are so strong, sweet, and loving that, as the lyrics say, they can transform war into calm and peace. (It is also a way to embrace sisterhood among women and join forces to fight the patriarchy.)”. Thank you Sara for your voice and your words.

Still on the moon over my trip to Copenhagen. I also had the opportunity to perform at a private showcase sponsored by the @nac.cna with some of the other women from the @globalproducersprogram I have to give a s/o to @caroldouse and @oldowanco for the shirt. I’m busy building my legacy for real. Tap in with her clothing line. Some amazing pieces indeed! #mondaymood #mondaymotivation #copenhagen #torontogirl
