Still pinching myself sometimes that I get to work on campaigns for brands I’ve admired for so long — and this one with BMW x LEGO was such a special one.

Grateful to have been behind the camera, surrounded by such an incredibly talented team and so many people who made the whole production what it was.

Days like this remind me how lucky I am to call photography my job. Still feels a little unreal sometimes. 🥹

I literally never do life updates like this, but since we’ve gotten SO many messages about the house, I thought I’d share a little bit of what’s actually going on 🤍

We didn’t buy it — we’re renting it.
I know so many of you were genuinely surprised — I’ve seen SO many messages like “WAIT, YOU’RE RENTING??” 😂
Especially because we’re putting so much work into it.

Finding this place was honestly a whole journey. The housing situation here is insane, and everyone we’ve met since moving here keeps telling us the same thing: you usually move 4–5 times before you eventually find somewhere you can stay long-term.
So when we found this house, I think something in me just went yes. this is what I am dreaming of.
I’ve lived in shared apartments since I was 18 and I’ve moved SO many times. So the thought of finally having somewhere for the next years feels pretty special to me. I saw SO much potential in it before we even knew we’d end up living here. I had such a clear vision of what it could become.

We knew it wasn’t perfect. Not even close. But I could see it. Matching my vision board almost 100%.
So once we knew we’d be here for a few years, we decided to put some time, money and a LOT of work into it. We’ve spent the first month painting, sanding, cleaning, working on the garden, taking apart the kitchen because it was honestly disgusting, and discovering approximately 847 new things that apparently need fixing. 🫠

But I think sometimes you just have to make the place you’re living in feel like home and to invest in your time here.
And honestly, being able to do this here feels like such a privilege.
I’ve been through a lot of shit over the past few years, and I think I just really needed a place to breathe. Somewhere in nature, between the mountains and the Atlantic, where I can actually slow down a little and feel settled.

I’m also incredibly lucky that my job allows me to do this. Being a photographer means I can work internationally and don’t have to choose between where I live and the work I want to do. I can fly to jobs from Stuttgart or from here, there are three major airports nearby, and suddenly I have the mountains, the A taken in Biarritz, France by @denisedelles
