A new kind of (self) love 💕

Self portraits can feel so daunting for me. Aside from aesthetics, sometimes my face doesn’t always portray how I feel. So instead of focusing on capturing something perfect, I tried taking portraits on film. No redos! Thanks to everyone who helped 🫶🏽

Con Amor | Rio Blanco Cemetery, San Marcos, Guatemala 2025

I wanted to end this mini series with some pictures of a Guatemalan cemetery. Not to be depressing during the holidays, but something I found eye opening was how graveyards are painted with such lively colors. Walking through these structures didn’t feel as heavy as I thought it would. These pantheons are made to keep families together even after death. It might seem morbid to think of having a burial site ready for each family member, but death is an expected part of life. Today I’m missing some people in my life as are many others. And I hope to cherish every moment with my loved ones in this life and onto the next. Con amor, happy holidays! 🫶🏽

Casita Entre Nosotros | San Marcos, Guatemala 2025
