That’s a wrap! ❤️

It’s hard to put into words what your friendship has meant to me over the past two decades, Li. We started our journey at Westhampton Beach together, and from day one, I knew I had found una gran amiga, una hermana, and a work wife. WHBHS won’t be the same without you!

I’ve had the privilege of teaching all four of your beautiful girls and watching them grow into the incredible women they are today; a true reflection of the amazing mother you are!

Your friendship has been one of the greatest gifts of my career. Through every stage of the past 21 years, you’ve been there. From the moment I was pregnant with Cristian and Nathan, you shared your wisdom, celebrated every milestone, and always made time for me. I’m forever grateful for you!

Even during the most difficult times (and there were many), you’ve carried yourself with such GRACE and strength, while continuing to give so much of yourself to all of those around you.

As a teacher, you are simply estupenda! You are passionate, caring, loving, and dedicated and have inspired countless students. I’m sure that if they read this post, they would all agree that ¡Mrs. Lag es la mejor!

Thank you for all the laughter, advice, support, and friendship, Li. I know this next chapter will be filled with all the happiness you’ve given to everyone else for so many years. While retirement is so well deserved, your presence will be deeply missed, pero “no hay que llorar”, porque “la vida es un carnaval” ❤️

New York, I ❤️ you!
Thank you for today. It was not the easiest 40+ miles, but the encouragement and motivation we got from the 35,000 riders was inspiring enough to finish it strongly!

16 was fun and very fast and I wish I could freeze all these moments! Not sure how I feel about 17, but I know you two are ready, Nathan and Cristian.
There’s a whole world out there waiting for you, boys. Go get it! 🌎 and remember to let your roots be your anchor, stand tall, stay humble, be kind, and show respect to everyone and to our planet.

Looking through photos for this post made me reflect on how much life we’ve packed into 25 years of marriage. Feels like we blinked, and suddenly we’re here… with so many stories we’ve created for ourselves, our family, and our friends 💫A lot has changed, and we’ve grown in every direction, but love has always remained constant, and commitment has been the pillar of all❤️Here’s to all we’ve done and whatever comes next 🥂

And just like that 15 flew by in a flash ⚡️⚡️ Happy 16th to our favorite (and occasionally pretty annoying) Earth Day twosome! You two light up the world in your own unique ways, and we’re so lucky to witness it every day.
