Saturday morning we were lying in bed and we could hear the intermittent sound of a balloon's burner getting closer and closer. We went out onto our little deck and we could see the top of the balloon very very close! When the gondola finally came into view around the corner of the house we realized that they were coming down to land. The very skilled female pilot guided the balloon perfectly down into the middle of our street right in front of our house! What a fun way to start the day.

The smartest thing I ever did was to marry this sweet, smart pretty girl. Phyllis and I married just over 45 years ago, and here we are! We met at a concert by The Pretenders and got hitched 6 months later. And they said it wouldn't last. :-) And yes, i used to have hair on my head. by @denschaefer

One morning last week we were awakened by a very loud sound. It was the burner of a hot air balloon that passed probably no more than 30 ft directly over our house. What fun to see! #hotairballoon by @denschaefer
