One of the things I love most about @marjabiwithlove swimsuits is how comfortable I feel in them. Whether I am paddle boarding, playing with the kids, or lounging; I feel confident that everything is going to stay in place and also look beautiful. Took a fly fishing class with Stephen @fly_fishing_new_england and left with a whole new appreciation for a sport I thought was mostly standing in a river looking peaceful.

Turns out there’s a lot happening. What fish are in this water and when they spawn. What they’re actually eating right now, and how water temperature changes all of it. The physics of why a weight-forward line makes casting easier. That the fish probably can’t see you against the background - but they can feel your footsteps in the water long before you get close.

My favorite thing I learned: the back-and-forth false casting isn’t for show or distance. You’re drying the fly. Three or four passes is plenty. Nobody tells you that.

Stephen teaches the why, not just the how - patient, encouraging, and genuinely excited about every question. If you’ve ever wanted to try fly fishing and felt like you’d be the only one who didn’t know what they were doing, go take a class with him. 🎣

Royal Arch Trail, Boulder 🌄 Hard hike, and somehow still one of my favorite mornings in Colorado. Did this one with my cousins and we laughed the entire way up, then spent the whole way down just trying not to die 😂 10/10 chaos, 10/10 view.

Lake Isabelle was 😱😍. Tucked into the Indian Peaks Wilderness of Roosevelt National Forest, this ~6.6 mile round trip from winds through meadows and streams before opening up to glacier-fed water and continental divide views that stop you in your tracks. One (if not THE) prettiest hikes we’ve done.

You’ll need a timed entry reservation ($2) via Recreation.gov to drive into Brainard Lake Rec Area
