This World Cup knockout stage reminds me of the @beatsbydre Olympic Rio athlete house we crafted and ideated that brought federations together to safely and privately chill, recharge and prepare to be their best- and also go at each other on the ping pong table. While at Nike I got to Art direct the shoot, design direct the Nike+ Apple brand guidelines, the retail layout as well as the global launch at Chelsea Piers in NYC. Working directly with the CMO and store design team at Gap, we created a brand heritage influenced design language to enhance and drive interest around Gap Chestnut street store for a much needed refresh. Elements included were 1969 column wrap typography, record store inspired wood stain patterning at the denim wall, signage for Hoodies and carved location typography at the plastered cash-wrap. Other design explorations such as fitting room design, refresh in baby Gap, and a big G brand moment with messaging were applied also executed.
