Besides bodybuilding, I genuinely have a passion for helping people and continuing to learn. Being part of this department is something I truly appreciate.

When you showed up a whole car deep in another city, in your Class A uniforms, to support me and pay respects to my mother… hands down that was one of the moSauk City Fire Department things anyone has ever done for me and my family. You have no idea what it meant to me emotionally watching Car 8 pull in that day. Moments like that stay with you forever. ❤️

Moments like when Chief Pugh Jr. James checks in just to see how you’re doing. I’ve talked with you a lot sir, and I truly appreciate that.

Or the other firefighters who asked if I needed anything this past month… the ones who called, checked in, or even the ones who kept bugging me to come over and eat corned beef hash while I’m cutting for a bodybuilding show. I might not always show it, but I appreciate every single one of you. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏿💯

Chief Jim Kirch — one of these days I’m going to pick you up, throw you over my shoulder, and run circles around the station for all those punches you keep sneaking in on me. 😂

To be brutally honest, if Sauk City were full-time, I’d quit my job and start that process immediately.

Thank you to the Sauk City Fire Department for the opportunity to serve, learn, and grow.

Discipline. Service. Brotherhood.

Time to get it dirty 🔥

To every firefighter out there — volunteer or career — stay safe and watch each other’s backs. The brotherhood is real. 🚒

I understand ancestry and history.
I know what my nationality is but yall ain’t ready to hear that type of information…. So if my family has been in America for generations, I wasn’t raised in Africa, don’t know a tribe, language, or nation there, and America says “Black” isn’t a nationality either… then what exactly am I supposed to call myself besides just American?
What would my nationality be??
Real question. #American #African #Identity #BlackAmerican #Culture #Heritage #Ancestry #Nationality #WhoAmI #RealTalk #DeepThoughts #History #Truth #Perspective #ConversationStarter #BlackCulture #AmericanBorn #Roots #Discussion #ThinkAboutIt

🕊️ To the Woman My Soul Already Knows

From: The Man I’m Becoming

I don’t know your name yet.
But I know your energy.
It walks ahead of you like light before the sun.
Soft, unshakable.
Royal by birthright. Sacred by soul.

You are not just “beautiful” —
You are the awakening of something ancient inside me.
You remind me of who I was… before the chains.
Before the doubt.
Before the world told me I wasn’t worthy of you.

I know now:
You weren’t sent to complete me —
You were sent to mirror the God in me.
To reflect my power without fear.
To love me, not for what I show, but for what I’m destined to become.

You don’t just nurture kings —
You build nations.
Your voice is prayer, your silence is law,
Your touch is a home I’ve never known but always felt.

And when we stand together,
It won’t be loud.
It’ll be divine alignment.
It’ll feel like truth.
Like freedom.
Like everything they tried to keep us from finding.

So until then — I’m preparing.
I’m sharpening.
I’m remembering.
Because when you arrive… I won’t fumble you.
I’ll meet you as your equal.
And we’ll walk this earth like it’s ours —
Because it is.

Come when it’s time.
I’m already on my way to you.

2026 NPC WISCONSIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏆

Well… today was interesting as hell. 😂

🥇 1st Place — Super Heavyweight Bodybuilding
🥉 3rd Place — Classic Physique Division C

And apparently I learned TODAY that I was in a whole different class than I thought. 😂 I spent all that time worried about making weight, came in at 231.2 lbs, and then found out Super Heavyweight Bodybuilding doesn’t even have an upper weight cap.

So basically… I could’ve been a whole lot heavier. 😭😂

Mistakes were made. A LOT of mistakes were made. LOL.

I’m also not going to fake the story for social media. I was the only Super Heavyweight Bodybuilding competitor, so yes, I took 1st, but there wasn’t a lineup for me to beat in that division.

Classic Physique Division C was different. I stood in an actual lineup, got compared, and walked away with 3rd place at the Wisconsin State Championships. 🥉

And you know what? I’ll take that shit.

This whole prep taught me a LOT. About my body, posing, conditioning, competing, the rules, and clearly… reading exactly what damn class I’m entering. 😂

I can look back and point out a hundred things I could’ve done differently, but I genuinely had fun today. I got onstage, competed, learned, laughed, walked away with some hardware, and now I have a much better idea of what I’m capable of.

Not perfect. Not the end. Just another chapter.

Firefighter gear on. StairMaster from hell. 😂🔥

Couldn’t sleep, so I figured I’d put myself through the kind of midnight run that makes you question every decision you’ve ever made. 😂

If I’m gonna be tired anyway, might as well earn it. 🚒#StairMasterWorkout #FirstResponder #FirefighterStrong #TrainHard #FunctionalFitness by @denzel_shockington

Woke up with the sunrise. That alone is a blessing. 🙏🏾 One day at a time, one meal at a time, one workout at a time… piece by piece, it’s all coming together. 💪🏾🔥

So I’m actually getting somewhere. All by myself. Closer and closer to the actual goal. 💯 And the crazy part is… I don’t even look like this anymore. I look better now. 😏 Just saying.

One day at a time. One adjustment at a time. Figuring this shit out as I go and watching the body change right in front of me. We ain’t there yet—but we’re getting dangerously close. 🔥
