Celebrating my student Rileigh with the cutest Michael Jackson-themed master class for her birthday! 🖤
It was so special seeing all the little ones dressed as Michael and coming together to celebrate her. Rileigh is truly a STAR, and I’m so proud of the growth I continue to see in her as a dancer. She’s disciplined, dedicated, and always puts in the work.
It was such an honor to choreograph this master class for her. I had so much fun creating and celebrating with her!
Rileigh, my advice to you is simple: don’t overthink it. Have fun, trust yourself, and let your talent shine.
Happy Birthday, Rileigh! Keep growing, keep dancing, and always remember to enjoy the journey. 🤍
Thank you to her amazing parents for creating such a special birthday celebration!

Lastly i couldn’t have done this without my amazing friends 🥹🫶🏾 @marissa529 @dereksisouphone @chrismunar

Sometimes it’s honestly not about the step—it’s about embodying the character and story that the choreographer has given you.
One thing we all need to understand, especially in this new generation, is that EVERYBODY can hit a step, but NOT EVERYBODY can perform.
A lot of times, dancers don’t know what to do when they’re asked to bring something outside of the choreography. Learning simple choreography is one thing, but knowing how to utilize your facials, your eyes, your attitude, your musicality, and your character is just as important as executing the actual movement.
Believe it or not, those details are what bring the choreographer’s actual vision and story to life. The steps are only one part of the performance—the way you embody them is what makes people believe what they’re watching.

Shoutout to @_heyitsshay_ for allowing me to play with ya!!!! This was fun! Great job! 🫶🏾 by @denzelalexanderchoreo
