Badge 2 is here. And the teacher is one of our own. This Saturday, July 11, Bridge to Success continues. Black Tech Saturdays and the University of Michigan Center for Innovation present the Storytelling Badge, led by a man whose entire life has been preparation for this room. Denzell Turner is Detroit through and through. Raised on Ashbury Park with four generations under one roof. Cass Tech. Midnight Golf. A Communications degree from the University of Michigan. An MBA in Marketing from the University of Miami. Then the career the credentials promised. Microsoft. Hasbro. Brand strategy across the automotive, sports, and tech industries, sharpening how some of the biggest names in the world talk to their customers. He could have stayed there. Plenty do. But even while climbing, Denzell was building. He led a community nonprofit in Metro Detroit that raised more than $60,000 and put scholarship dollars directly into the hands of students headed to college. And somewhere along the way, he noticed something no corporate role could fix. The businesses in his own city, the ones that raised him, were too hard to find and too easy to overlook. So he picked up a microphone. What began as a string of Instagram Live interviews became Black Fridays, now more than 200 episodes strong, with its own studio, its own podcasting course, and nearly a million impressions. Every week, Denzell sits across from founders, bankers, artists, and builders and does what the best storytellers have always done. He makes people visible. He turns a business into a legacy and a legacy into a blueprint. That is what Badge 2 teaches. Storytelling and digital marketing are not decoration. They are the difference between doing great work and being known for it. They are how your story travels rooms you have never entered. Denzell learned that at the highest levels of corporate America and proved it on the streets of Detroit. Now he is handing the blueprint to our learners. Denzell, thank you. You took everything you gathered out in the world and brought it home. That is the whole point of this movement.
