I think today is a good day for this one! A month ago, the most special thing happened, and I’m only now able to take it all in.

My dad and little bro came on a whirlwind three-day trip to New York to do a cool little thing I’ll tell y’all about later. I hadn’t seen my dad in 8 years and Josh in 10. Right when my heart had been aching for family connection, all of a sudden, they came to be with me in the city I love so much.

Both first-timers. Both ready for action!

This tough ‘ol bird left us 6 years ago today. She was full of love, fierce as hell and climbed ladders til she was 85. I’m pretty sure she’s the reason for my moxie! She always did the very best she could with what she had, including deciding to raise an infant when she was 65. I called her “Bobo” because I couldn’t pronounce “buddy”. She made up a song I can still hear her sing to this day. “I’ll always be your buddy, I’ll never say goodbye. I’ll always be your buddy, I’ll never make you cry.” She was also a big huge liar!!
