Brent @american_air_pirate is sharing some very valuable insights about diverse, aviation, backgrounds, and how it applies to the fireboss eligibility as a Fireboss pilot but this is also true for aviation jobs. In general, the more diverse experience you bring to the table as any flight crew member the odds are that you'll be more valuable in that particular assignment.

In general, the more diverse experience you bring to the table as any flight crew member the odds are that you'll be more valuable in that particular assignment.

And the reason, for this is quite simple. the more diversity of aircraft, weather, conditions and missions, that you expose yourself to, the more valuable experience you'll bring to the table no matter what the mission of your next flying assignment.

Cheers to all these good times in Alaska - images are collected over multiple summer seasons in Alaska, and mostly from Anchorage's Lake Hood Seaplane base.

If you're a floatplane pilot, you'll relate to each and every one of these landings and take offs. Arguably the most interesting part of water flying, is the water part. Its where true skills really show.

The turbine conversions need to engine position to ensure the CG envelope is operable. This is the reason why the relative lightweight turbine engine is mounted to far forward of the firewall.
