THE QUIET FLEX. 💙✨
Sometimes people talk to you like you’ve never been around the block, never made money, never traveled, never owned anything, and never sat at tables they’re just discovering.
Baby, I’ve been around the block. I just don’t give everybody a tour. 😂
I’ve made money. I’ve lost money. I’ve built businesses. I’ve earned degrees and certifications. I’ve traveled. I’ve worked. I’ve invested. I’ve started over. And I’m still building.
I don't need to announce everything I've accomplished just to prove I belong in the room.
Humility is not inexperience.
Quiet is not broke.
Asking questions does not mean I’ve never had answers.
And learning from somebody does not make me less accomplished than them.
Sometimes the person you're trying to educate has already lived through chapters you haven't read yet.
So yes, I'll listen. I'll learn. I'll remain teachable.
But don't mistake being teachable for being new to the game. 💙

🔥 WHEN LEADERSHIP ALLOWS IT, EVERYBODY LEARNS TO DO IT. WHEN DID BAD BEHAVIOR BECOME THE PRICE OF BELONGING?
The world has gotten way too comfortable allowing bad behavior and then expecting the person affected by it to keep smiling, keep talking, keep participating, and act like nothing happened.
Where the hell do we do that?
Someone can disrespect you, make jokes at your expense, dismiss your feelings, create narratives, or make you uncomfortable, but somehow you're expected to keep having conversations so everybody else can remain comfortable.
And then something even more troubling happens.
Other people watch it.
They see what was tolerated.
They see what was excused.
They see nobody addressed it.
And eventually, they start behaving the same way because the environment taught them that it was acceptable.
That's why leadership matters.
Leadership isn't only what you teach from a stage, post online, put in a mission statement, or tell people during a meeting.
Leadership is also what you allow.
If disrespect becomes normal, people learn disrespect.
If accountability disappears, people learn avoidance.
If jokes repeatedly come at someone's expense and everyone laughs, people learn that humiliation is acceptable as long as somebody calls it humor.
And if the person finally says, “Enough,” that person should not automatically become the problem.
I believe in communication.
But communication does not mean repeatedly placing yourself in conversations where the same behavior continues and nothing changes.
At some point, leadership has to ask:
What kind of culture are we creating by what we keep allowing?
Because people aren't only listening to what leaders say.
They're watching what leaders tolerate.
