“Here we go again…”
Another year, another feeling of guilt for even taking the time to post this. I mean, there’s more than enough chaos going on in the world rn to throw the planet off its axis. But here we are, spiraling through the vast expanse of space and holding on for dear life.
“Just hold on, hold on, and I won’t let you go…”
And that’s what I’m doing every day that I’m gifted; I’m holding on to the bar in front of me while this roller coaster takes me up, down and all around. Who would’ve thought that I would have actually made it to see 11 years?
“Time keeps on slipping…slipping…into the future.“
That’s 132 months. That’s approximately 4,018 days. That’s around 96,432 hours. Fine, let’s go further then, that’s 5,785,920 seconds…without a single drop of alcohol in my system.
“As we go round & round, life is just a moment in time…”
With the culture that we live in, I always feel shame when I bring this up. Like something’s wrong with me. Or as if I’m not as fun as those who do indulge. But the truth is, I can wild-out with the best of ‘em and make the party jump off.
“Turn down for what?”
I need to actually be louder about the fact that I’ve found peace, love, happiness and solace in the person that I authentically am. Don’t get me wrong, it took me a very, very long time to uncover me beneath all those layers of programming and conditioning.
But here I am.
And I’ll never go back to who I once was.
Not now.
Not ever.
So today I celebrate the choices I have made to bring me to this present gift called right now. And as Curtis Mayfield said, “Just move on up.
And keep on wishing.
Remember your dream is your only scheme, so keep on pushing.”
If y’all know me, you know I’m ‘Pushin’ 4 Change’. So I’m gonna keep pushing the limitations of my potential with every breath I get until there’s no oxygen left in my body.
And I honestly hope you all find the authentic YOU that’s waiting to be discovered because the world needs it now more than ever. FRFR. One love. And please remember to always stay shining you beautiful MF’s.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes and patience while I slowly respond. I’ve been out having an amazing day with my Grandma Josie and not paying attention to my phone at all.
