It’s been awhile since I made a self introduction post and I’ve met a lot of awesome new people both online and off, so I wanted to share a little bit about me! Name: Ki’ami King (you can call me Ki’ami or Violet) Locations: Boston, MA ・Denver, CO ・ Fukuoka, Japan Pronouns: she/they Artistic mediums: photography, videography & digital design Languages: English (native), Japanese (conversationally fluent) Other skills: practical fx, set design, makeup, modeling, illustration, probably other things I’m forgetting. Dream job: creative director I’m a freelance creative with big feelings and bigger dreams. I see the future that I want very clearly and I know it involves capturing memories in time that would have otherwise been forgotten and chasing those memories as they come. I pour my heart and soul into everything I create. I wear my heart on my sleeves. I genuinely care about what I do. ドライフラワー | Self-Portrait 2025 🥀 One thing about becoming an artist is that you gain this kind of superpower that allows you to enter into any emotion at will. Artists are able to transmute feelings into their art by traveling through memory and pulling out those feelings. This requires a level of self awareness that I think can be hard for some people to understand. These photos are an example of me putting myself into an emotion that I may not have been feeling at the time, but that I have felt in the past that I wanted to convey. I wanted to convey that specific kind of loneliness you feel in the absence of romantic love.
