ENGLISH

We regret to announce that Deradoorian’s upcoming shows in Milan and Rome have been cancelled.

Due to a back injury, the artist needs some time to rest and recover. Travelling alone with all her equipment at this stage would put her at risk of further injury.

Deradoorian sincerely apologises for the inconvenience and looks forward to returning to Italy.

The shows will be rescheduled for 2027, with new dates yet to be confirmed.

Thank you for your understanding. by @deradoom

New art and line-up news - Deradoorian and Mason Lindhal are joined by The Cloud at the Nest, Oxford on Fri 30th Oct at end of this month!

We’ve been huge fans of Deradoorian’s music for years and we’re so delighted she’s coming to Oxford - fusing elements of indie rock, avant-garde electronic music, dub, and dance rhythms, Deradoorian is the name Angel Deradoorian works under as a solo artist. She launched said solo career after making a name for herself as a member of Dirty Projectors and collaborating with artists such as Avey Tare and Flying Lotus. Her albums, including 2015’s ‘The Expanding Flower Planet’ and 2020’s ‘Find the Sun’, are cosmic song cycles informed by her spiritual journey. After collaborating with Kate NV under the name Decisive Pink on 2023’s heavily electronic ‘Ticket to Fame’, Deradoorian added that sound to her already jam-packed approach on 2025’s ‘Ready for Heaven’.

Tour partner Mason Lindahl is a North Carolina native whose solo instrumental debut Kissing Rosy in the Rain, released in 2021 via Tompkins Square, was praised as “gorgeous” (Petal Motel) and “a minimalist gem” (Everything Is Noise). Prior to that, his only other solo release is 2009’s Serrated Man Sound. Mason will release a pair of new albums, Joshua / Same Day Walking, this fall via Mt. Brings Death. Sound stunning!

Oxford’s The Cloud amazes us at every turn with their live show - Jo’s twisted and delightful electro-dream-pop is a real charm and keeps you guessing!

On sale and selling, don’t miss out - all ages and wheelchair accessible show at the Nest on Fri 30th Oct from 7pm. Hop on the music machine everyone! #divineschism #oxford #oxfordmusicscene #oxfordmusic #deradoorian by @deradoom

Fall is in the air and I’m about to hit the road in Europe! First, my deep homie Angel Deradoorian and I are hitting the road for a few duo shows. We are a drone project that is whatever the opposite of spiritual bypass is, going deep into the darkness of the material world to process, transform and work towards justice and light. It’s going to a be a deep one and we will speak primarily in Simpsons references that no one will understand!

Extremely psyched to hit the road with Elder Ones, playing material from our forthcoming record All Empires Fall (2027) joined by Nick Dunston! Nick plays on From Untruth and it’s so nice to have him back in the fold. He’s an absolute beast, so this special line-up with him, Matt Nelson, Alfredo Colon and Jason Nazary is not to be missed!

I’ve been thrown a bit of a curveball before this tour as a grapple with tendinitis. It’s making me think a lot about disability and the unrelenting grind of capitalism. Our bodies create value through their productive capacity, and sometimes we are made to feel that is all they are good for. But they have intrinsic value, which I’m trying to remember and take care of my body by respecting its limits. As an improviser, I will roll with the punches, and if the body says “no” you might see some interesting arrangements! Power to all workers dealing with disability and all workers crushed under this system!

Amirtha Kidambi & Angel Deradoorian:
30th Sept - @alice_nbro, Copenhagen, DK
2nd Oct - @uhfest, Budapest, HU
4th Oct - @fundacjapalma, Gdańsk, PL

Elder Ones:
6th Oct - @confortmoderne, Poitiers, FR
7th Oct - @plagesmagnetiques, Brest, FR
8th Oct - @bozarbrussels, Brussels, BE
9th Oct - @bimhuis & @spaceistheplace_sitp, Amsterdam, NL
13th Oct - @cankarjevdom, Ljubljana, SI
14th Oct - @petit_faucheux, Tours, FR
16th Oct - @fonomo_festival, Bydgoszcz, PL

I’ll stay for a bit to teach in the Netherlands after the tour and hang for a couple days in London. Hope to see you out there! by @deradoom

Deradoorian (art/pop - Los Angeles / US)

@deradoom is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, weirdo, who makes whatever kind of music they feel. These releases explore the world of ambient, experimental, drone, and just straight up pop-structured songs. Deradoorian feels there are many ways to approach creating sound. The continued practice of openness. Having put her collaboration with Kate NV, Decisive Pink, on hold, the former @dirtyprojectors member returns to her solo career with an adventurous and fully realized album. 𝘖𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯 (@fire_records), Deradoorian draws on years of experience, moving beyond the tentative yet intriguing blend of avant-pop, krautrock, and Beatlesque echoes that characterized Expanding Flower Planet. In their place comes a more assured and less theatrical instrumental approach, through which she develops a post-punk language that feels emotionally cool, distant, and detached.
