OMG OMSLAGSAVSLÖJANDE! 💙🏒

Both the Dutch🇳🇱and Swedish🇸🇪 novels will be out on the same day: 15 October.

Pre-order links are in my highlights!❤️‍🔥

Just look at this amazing animation made by @deraxx_x 🔥🔥🔥

The scene is from Slick Trip, coming in August! You can pre-order it from Amazon. ARC sign-ups are open, too, link in bio.

BLURB

19-year-old Cooper has the best plan: drive Grandpa’s Cadillac from Illinois to California, collect a thousand dollars, and prove that he’s not as immature as everyone seems to think. Then Jon Beckett—his brother’s best friend and the guy Cooper has been half in love with since he was fifteen—is suddenly assigned as his unwilling road trip babysitter. Cooper is livid. Yeah, he used to have a crush on Jon, but that was before Jon did something unforgivable.

Jon knows exactly why keeping his distance from Cooper matters. One reckless night a year ago proved that some lines should never be crossed, especially with Cooper. No matter how beautiful, sweet, or tempting he is.

Now they’re stuck together for a week, trying to ignore the mutual attraction. Then biology intervenes and changes everything—for better or for worse, that’s for Cooper and Jon to decide.

Tätä en osannut odottaa:
Kiitos kirjasta -mitali on arvostettu suomalainen kirjallisuuspalkinto, jota on jaettu vuodesta 1966 lähtien.

Kiitos.

The Thanks for the Book Medal is a respected Finnish literary award that has been presented since 1966. It is awarded by the Finnish Booksellers Association and the Finnish Library Association to a Finnish author whose work published the previous year has made a particularly significant contribution to fiction.

In the history of the award, besides Sulamispiste (The Melting Point), it has only been given to one children’s or YA novel before: Häräntappoase by Anna-Leena Härkönen.

That is why I’m especially happy that this year the recognition went to a YA novel. To me, it also feels like recognition for YA literature as a whole and for all the young readers who turn to books in search of themselves and their place in the world.

These are exactly the kinds of acts that give YA literature, and the importance of literacy, more space and visibility.

Thank you.
