My biggest takeaways this summer. ..

Be adaptable. I sold in 4 different markets this summer, some were better than others. Don’t focus on where you wish you were, focus making the grass green where you’re at.

Build belief. I doubled the amount of revenue that I’ve done last year to this year. Small wins and consistently showing up will increase your self value. by @derekdabaker12

Posting this because I hope this will inspire someone to step our of their comfort zone. I didn’t prepare for this half marathon. Leading up to the race I was thinking about canceling it all because I knew I wasn’t ready.

Despite the lack of preparation I’m so glad I finished. I’ve learned that I’m capable of so much more. by @derekdabaker12

Always struggled to make friends, smallest one on sport teams, always being in school.

Fast forward to now...

At the age of 20 I’ve built a business to do a million dollars in sales. I’ve never been in better shape. I have my best friends working with me.

1. Learn how to detach from your goals, if you’re in need to hit a certain number, you’re focused on the wrong thing. Refocus on the small steps to get you to hit your revenue goals.

2. Lots of reps get burnt out of the summer too early because they don’t see any growth. I fix that by doing “progress reports.” Find someone who you can share how you’ve grown through out the season.

3. The grass isn’t greener on the other side, the grass is green where you water it.
