Such a thrill to attend the wedding of my high school bestie Arjana Sanfilippo & Jonny Byrne! 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️💖

I was honored to be asked to play the processional music in the ceremony! Swipe to hear a couple clips from the Taylor Swift medley… 🎹

I cried so much! So happy for these two! Such a beautiful wedding with so many amazing people!! 🥹

This weekend brought back a million memories for me! Arjana is the first person I ever came out to. She is the person I have accompanied most on the piano—at our houses in high school, at our respective colleges, at retirement home shows, etc. We went to prom together. We’ve filmed acting reels together. She’s helped and inspired me so much in the theatre industry. And we’ve been there for each other through life’s highs and lows. I’m so grateful for our friendship! ❤️

Like father, like son! 🪗

Just found some photos I’ve never seen before from my grandma’s storage bins! 😍

My grandma Mary loved accordions! She was Italian after all! And she was a big fan of the Lawrence Welk Show! She made sure her sons took accordion lessons growing up. They performed on TV, in parades, in competitions, etc.

When I was little, I played the piano and decided to learn how to play my dad’s accordion. Over the years I’ve played it at retirement homes and in a few musicals around the country!

My dad is on the left and my uncle is on the right in both photos of them. For my grandma’s 95th birthday, I coordinated a performance where my dad, uncle, and I played her favorite songs on the accordion for her! And when we went to Italy as a family, an accordionist got her dancing in the streets of Verona! 🇮🇹✨❤️ by @derekluscutoff
