𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐲𝐊𝐢𝐤𝐢:

Drawing from personal experience and feedback from many, having categories open only for POC participants in a white-majority ballroom scene (i.e. Poland) became a vital platform for first-time walkers. This intentional focus led to several debuts from Poland-based people of color and sparked interest in ballroom culture within Warsaw’s growing queer POC community. This interest grew further through collaborating with @afrykamera which expanded AfryKiki’s reach.

This fills my heart with so much joy 💖

I extend my gratitude to my Judges, DJ, MC, Photographers, everyone at @afrykamera ,
@ethnomuseuminwarsaw , @_butero_ (@zzasim 🫵🏾❤️), my friends, family, Polish Ballroom community, everyone who donated to @ovah.pl and everyone who offered to support 🖤❤️💛💚
