Yesterday---- a pretty awesome day that had lots of great, little experiences.
Today---- 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨. Hate speech vocalized by coworkers after I told them I don't want to hear it, customers LITERALLY shoving God/Jesus items IN MY FACE and getting huffy when I wasn't all drooly over it like they were, and one man going into explicit detail WITH 🤮🤮🤮 PICTURES about getting his big toe cut off due to a diabetic sepsis!!! But I got us $600 over the stretch goal for sales and 3 new memberships, so totally worth those little rips in my soul, right?! 💰👍🏻😵😭🖕🏻

It's been an interesting past couple of days!

Part 2: Everything about this wedding was welcoming and COZY!!! Their souvenir station included sachets of mulling spices, hand-picked mugs from various thrift stores, stickers of their cats that one of the couple drew(the bottom one looks like my Luna 🥰🥹), DND dice, and Ghirardelli squares!

I can't gush enough about how wonderful and beautiful this night was for me. Like, normally the couple is like royalty: do not approach the couple, do not make eye contact, do not speak unless spoken to, only the shift captain and planners have direct interactions with them. This couple, I just pretty much made them(and most of their guests) my temporary besties and it honestly made serving them so much easier! (Also at least one became a subscriber of my channel when we bonded over being witches!! 🤩🤩🤩)

Damn, I really might cry in thinking of how I got a taste of the life I want for myself and how I won't get it full-time for....quite a while and how I have to go back into hiding my own beautiful colors while swallowing others' thinly-veiled hatred as they pride themselves on being "good Christians" in the same breath, but damn, what an amazing future I have to strive for now! 🏳️‍🌈🫶🏻💖🧙🏻‍♀️🌌🪽🥹

When I chose the 9/27 shift a few weeks ago, I had a Feeling it was going to be good and boy, did it not only meet but exceed expectations!

After serving at this catering company for over a year I finally got my FIRST LGBTQIA WEDDING!!!!!!🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

The wedding itself was the most like what I want for my own wedding(should that happen for me in this lifetime) where it was a small number in attendance(they had like 47, I still want maybe 20), the theme was "Vibrant Autumn/Eclectic Cohesion", and everybody in attendance was there as their full, unapologetic, colorful, joyous selves and there was only love and celebration in the air!! 🍁💖🥹

This had me in such a lovely, delicious high all night that I'm now going to have to work like hell to not get depressed knowing I'm working in the exact opposite environment for the rest of the week at my main job. 🪦😮‍💨😭
But this is about the good stuff, so we carry on with the celebration in part 2! 😉🥳

Holy "serendipitous moment" meets "burnt toast theory", Batman!!!!!

I am working a nearly solid 2.5 weeks and so let myself sleep a little longer without guilt this morning because I could. I feel much better than I have!

I really wanted to make another reading video and let myself have that time. It was a little longer than planned, but I'm very happy for having done it!

I wanted to do makeup for today being Brown on my calendar, with only 10 minutes to spare before my normal time of heading out for the bus. I did a slap-dash job that still looks fairly good!

I saw it was right at that time, so I accepted that I'd missed the bus and prayed I'd find a Lime scooter outside- to bypass the expense of an actual ride-as I gathered my stuff and kept shouting "I love you" to Hallow.

I got outside right at :51(the regular pick up time) and started looking for a scooter. None to be found.
Something in me said to cross the street for the bus anyway.
IT ARRIVED AT :56!!!! 🤯😃🪽🫶🏻🥹
No extra paid ride today nor extra sore body from walk-running to the train station and I'm still going to be there on time!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I wish a moment like this for everyone that reads this post!! 🫶🏻🪽🧙🏻‍♀️😉

(Yes, i know about the smudge on my lip. I felt a little bump right in the middle of my cupids bow while doing my reading and don't know if it's a tiny pimple or beginning of a cold sore, so taking no chances!)

Well,that was a frustrating night! Not only was the entire schedule pushed back like 3 times (I guess these people REALLY needed to socialize?) but SEVERAL people(mostly men) felt it was perfectly okay to touch me as I was serving cocktail hour!! (I'm talking arm pats, lower back pushes, "guiding" me by the elbow,etc. 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻)
Note to everyone: DO NOT TOUCH OTHERS WITHOUT CONSENT!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
I hated that I had to just "grin and bear it" 🤬🤜🏻
Oh, and my glasses broke so I worked blurry-eyed the whole night.

On the happier side, I got to take home food tonight and spend time with a work friend I haven't seen in about a month or so. 🫶🏻🥳 I also saw 427 when I looked up once at a sign on the way home. 🪽😉

My cards told me to keep my eyes open for moments of sonder and staying in my grounded power and I think I did a pretty good job!

The new paint job for the road....blocks(?) is so vibrant and adds much-needed whimsy

The announcement board I have to look at everyday finally was changed to a clean version of the train/bus schedules (no more triggering phrases!)

For dinner, I made fish n' chips and cooked the BEST chips I've ever done!!!! Real potatoes I washed, peeled, and chopped!!! Perfect golden crunch outside, fluffy potato-y goodness on the inside! Totally worth the slight stomach upset from consuming a greasy food!

A poignant surprise: we received a sympathy card from our vet regarding Luna's 🌈 🪦. I was so touched that I ended up crying a little, again.
