When it’s summer, you‘re at the sea, having a Ford GT in front of you and the light just hits right - you‘re either in a dream or living your dream!

At least for me, the only thing missing to it being me living my dream is the papers of the Ford GT stating my name instead of @universalpohl‘s 🫣

But other than that, this moment just perfect. And I really have to say that the Ford GT is one of the most underrated cars out there. Not only because it‘s so rare since only 101 units of it were built 😬

The Porsche that never got its chance…

The Porsche LMP 2000 was originally built to race in the Le Mans LMP900 Prototype class. It is powered by a F1 derived 5.5l n/a V10 engine producing 600 horsepower on a full exposed carbon chassis weighing only 900 kg (which was a requirement for the LMP900 class).

Unfortunately before it ever really raced, the project was cancelled:
After just 78 km of testing, the car was covered up and hidden away for over two decades, never seeing a single race start.

But isn‘t it too impressive to just let it rot and hide this masterpiece of engineering away from the world? It definitely is!
That‘s probably what Porsche thought and that‘s why they decided to restore it to it‘s (not so really existing) former glory and display it on the @retroclassicsofficial

Nevertheless the LMP 2000 stays one of the biggest „what ifs“ in Porsche history.

I feel like the Koenigsegg Agera R is one of those cars you don‘t fully appreciate until you see it in person.

Especially this one: At first it just looks blue, but once the light hits it right you really start to notice the full shining through. It‘s actually not that subtle than on other cars but with less sun and different weather you could mistake this for an ordinary dark blue paint.

I also really like that it‘s not an over the top spec, no crazy colours, just clean and full tinted carbon which fits the Agera R perfectly in my opinion.

What do you think - would you go with a rather subtle colour or go all in with a more vivid spec?

The king of the Nordschleife 2016 👑

Most people know the Lamborghini Huracán Performante is the most extreme version of the Huracán - but why?

If your answer was „it has a spoiler“ you are half correct, the answer is ALA, Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva.
Flaps in the front splitter and at the bottom of the spoiler open and close within milliseconds.

This technology allows the car to actively decide whether to go for maximum downforce for grip in corners or reduced drag for higher acceleration and top speed on straights.

What‘s really special about the aerodynamics at the rear spoiler is that depending on how the flaps are positioned the air either flows below the spoiler or above it. But that‘s not all of the magic: The flaps on the rear can be controlled indivudally which means that one flap could stay up while the other one goes down do ensure a different downforce distribution to create a torque vectoring effect or as Lamborghini calls it Aerovectoring.

And that‘s what exactly helped the Huracán Performante to dominate the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2016, I didn‘t know that, did you?
