Good morning sunshine!!!

I wanted to take a moment to tell you more about Beauty 360.

We have already given you a little sneak peek of what we’ve been putting together: you’ve seen the venue, heard the itinerary, PLUS, each of us has put together something special for you!! (Take a look below for a little of what I have in store for my presentation!)😘

The whole idea behind this event is beauty from the inside out. We’re focusing on four different areas: your skin, your wardrobe and how your present yourself, your home and surroundings, and your energy.

After our event, you will leave with some beautiful curated gifts, information you can actually use in your everyday life, plus we’ll have wine and charcuterie while we hang out and have a really fun girls’ night.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Purple Runway, a local nonprofit that supports survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence and helps women as they heal and rebuild.

It’s September 10th at Eden Try Winery, and we only have a few spots left. We would love to have you join us!

I had the pleasure of meeting Troy J Skebo with Old Copper Coffee Company today! ☕️

First of all, his coffee is AMAZING! Old Copper Coffee is produced in small batches, so it’s incredibly fresh, and you can definitely taste the difference.

Troy is a retired Spotsylvania Sheriff, owner of Old Copper Coffee Company and Ten8 Solutions, President of Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center, and will also be running for Spotsylvania County Sheriff!!!

It was so nice getting to meet you today, Troy, and learning a little more about everything you’re involved in within our community.

Last night I had the chance to celebrate my friend Amanda Justice and the launch of her new book, The Art of Becoming.

Seeing someone’s dream become reality is a pretty special thing. Writing a book takes courage, dedication, and a whole lot of heart, and it was such a joy to celebrate this milestone with her.

Congratulations, Amanda! Thank you so much for sharing this moment with you! I can’t wait to read it, and I’m wishing you so much success. ❤️📖 taken in The Griffin on Charles by @dermal.essence

I am incredibly grateful to Ms. Arline and the GAD youth center for the opportunity to spend time with such an amazing group of young people during the Face Forward: Teen Skincare 101 workshop.

It was an honor to share my knowledge of skincare, skin health, and confidence building with these students. Their curiosity, participation, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm made the experience truly special. Seeing them learn about caring for their skin and understanding that healthy skin is about more than appearance, it’s about self care and self confidence, was incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to GAD Youth Center for investing in the growth and well being of our youth and for creating opportunities like this that educate, empower, and inspire. I left feeling encouraged and hopeful for the future after spending time with such bright, respectful, and engaged kids.

I look forward to future opportunities to support and educate the next generation.

A special thank you to Hale & Hush Skin Care for their donation to support this workshop. The kids were so excited about their goody bags!

Vacation Edition!! 🌊☀️🕶️. One thing I absolutely love about this indoor pool is that I can enjoy the water without baking in the sun all day.

Don’t get me wrong, some sun exposure can be beneficial for vitamin D production. But extended sun exposure, especially during peak UV hours, can significantly increase skin damage and skin cancer risk over time.

This is the best of both worlds: swimming, relaxing, and enjoying vacation while still being mindful of my skin health.

Remember, UV rays don’t take the day off, even on vacation. Protect the skin you’re in. ☀️💙 by @dermal.essence

⚠️ Skin Cancer Awareness Month ⚠️

This photo is a powerful reminder that skin cancer doesn’t always start as something obvious.

What began as a small spot on the forehead required surgical removal and left a much larger wound than many people would expect.

The good news? Early detection saves lives.

If you notice a spot that is new, changing, bleeding, itching, or simply doesn’t seem to heal, don’t ignore it. Schedule an appointment with a dermatologist and have it evaluated.

And please remember:

☀️ Wear sunscreen every day
☀️ Reapply when outdoors
☀️ Wear hats and protective clothing
☀️ Get regular skin checks

UV rays don’t take the day off, even when it’s cloudy.

Take care of your skin today so you can protect your health tomorrow. ❤️

☀️ It’s National SPF Day!! The sun has peeked out from behind the clouds a bit, but even with the clouds out at Busch Gardens, I’m still wearing my sunscreen! 🎢

UV rays don’t take the day off just because the sun is hiding. ☁️ Up to 80% of UV rays can still pass through clouds, and sometimes clouds can even reflect UV rays and increase exposure.

So yes… your SPF still matters on cloudy days. 😉

This is why dermaplaning is SO satisfying 😮‍💨✨

That buildup you see is a combination of dead skin cells, surface debris, and vellus hair (aka peach fuzz) being removed from the skin.

Removing that layer helps products absorb better, makeup apply smoother, and leaves the skin looking brighter and feeling incredibly soft. 💕

And let’s clear up one of the biggest myths: dermaplaning does NOT make hair grow back thicker. The follicle itself does not change.

HOWEVER… clients who are already prone to terminal hair growth due to hormones or conditions like PCOS may notice coarser hairs over time regardless, and the blunt cut from shaving can sometimes make the regrowth feel more noticeable as it comes back in. 😉 by @dermal.essence

To the moms raising children, the women longing to become mothers, those who have experienced miscarriage or loss, the ones missing their moms, the stepmoms, foster moms, adoptive moms, grandmothers, aunties, and yes, the dog moms too.

Today can feel joyful, heavy, beautiful, or bittersweet. Whatever this day looks like for you, you are seen, valued, and loved. 🌷
